this girl

i found this old poem the other day: there was a girl as lonely as can be nobody for her to care for nothing to touch her home was thrashed and beaten her parents lost in the meaning of a child bruises and cuts burns and scratches all over her body why was she abused she thought is she not good enough for them is she not the type of daughter they wanted what did she do wrong why wont they love her for who she is she cries confused and alone doesnt understand what she can do to get them to love her one day walking to school she meets a boy the new kid in school to her he was beautiful eating at lunch all by herself he approaches her asks her why shes sitting all by herself confused on what to say she cant speak all she could do was shrug what turned out to be friendship turned into love these feeling scared the girl she didnt know what to do with herself but he straightens out her confusion tells her that there was nothing wrong with her in the first place tells her shes perfect for him that he never thought he could me such a wonderful person and is glad he found her and for once she smiles and says i love you too
