COMEBACK KID, It Dies Today, Endwell, This is Hell, Cancerbats concert at the Metro In Chicago!

"WOW.

That's all I can really say...Wow!"

That's what I said to the lead singer of Cancerbats when I first saw him selling shirts behind a few grey plastic boxes.

"The show was so amazing...you did a great job."

He smiled, and said, "Thanks." Then shook my hand.

I was almost breathless. "How much is that shirt?" And I pointed to the middle of three shirts behind him on the wall.

"Twelve dollars. But if you don't have twelve, I can bargain with what you have..."

"I'll take it. I have twelve." Yay!

"What size?"

"Small."

The red Cancerbats shirt was the exact same shirt Scott {lead singer of Comeback Kid} wore onstage during the show.

AND THE SHOW EFFING ROCKED.



Before it started, Michelle and I got in at the front. And I mean THE FRONT, right against the fence barrier. She didn't want to be up there because she didn't want to get pushed around, but later on she changed her mind. We were right at the front of the stage! How much better could it get?!

A hell of a lot better!

First, Endwell came on{played Single and Lovin' it! XD} And Michelle loved the way the guitarist kept sticking out his tongue at the crowd. Lmao. Then, This Is Hell

And we were all so anxious to see the best, who played last.

Comeback Kid!

Scott was all over the crowd! He jumped in, and I stuck my pick necklace that I'd had in my hand waiting for him. He got back onstage, and found it, and when the song was over, he held it up and asked, "Who's is this?" or something like that, and I raised my hand. He started to give it to me, but I said, "It's yours! But do me one favor...Play Lorelei, it's my name."

And he said, "Okay, maybe I'll do that." And he put on my necklace! Scoreness!

About two songs later, he screamed, "This one's for Lorelei...it's called LORELEI!" And I almost fucking died. I'll never forget the way he said it.

I screamed the whole song with him. And so did this idiotic guy next to me who was squishing me against poor Michelle. I shoved him off a few times, we got a few bruises from his flying elbows.

They played "Defeated" and I think "Broadcasting" and a few other songs, but not "Bitter Tongue", unfortunately. Meh. It rocked the place, anyway. When they walked offstage, we were screaming, "One more song! One more song!" But they didn't come out. The drummer and guitarist were shaking the crowd's hands after the lights came on, and Michelle and I yelled at him, "Hey! Can we have your drumsticks?"
"Oh, yeah, sure!" He said, and ran back and got them for us.

WE GOT COMEBACK KID'S DRUMSTICKS.

MUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Another one to add to our collection from the Simmer's show, "Don't Kill The Messenger

Michelle and I stayed at the stage for a little while until the security dude told us that we had to go. I totally ran into my dad and hugged him and thanked him, then told him we neeeeded to go get shirts. Sooo...we went downstairs, and here I am with the Cancerbats singer, Liam. I'd asked him how much his pins were, and he said two for a dollar.

"Which ones do you want?" he asked.

"It doesn't matter, pick them out for me."

He brought out four and said, "Here, since I can't decide."

YAY!

"Thank you so much!" I said. Then asked if he'd sign it. He so did! He so signed the side! Hah.

I bought I white Comeback Kid shirt, and Michelle bought a pink one. She bought an "It Dies Today" shirt, too, and the same Cancerbats shirt I'd bought. We got hugs from Liam, and my dad said we had to go. I didn't want to leave!

Michelle and I still can't hear right! YEAH!
