The Concert

Posted April 17, 2009

I went to a concert recently and  i wrote this in my writing journal one day...(when i was wishing i could be at another concert...again...*sigh*)

The neon lights flashed overhead.  The crowd was jam packed full of impatient fans, breath held, waiting anxiously for the music to begin.  And when the band members walked on stage, everyone screamed at the top of their lungs. before they knew it, the music started.  the opening song was fast paced and loud, and excited the already energetic fans even more.  by the end of the first song, every person in the place was jumping up and down, screaming and moshing, slamming sweat covered bodies against one another.  "who wants another song?" the band leader asked the crowd.  and the the crowd screamed their approval.  the moshing started again, but harsher and with more energy this time.  all the sweaty, people, with hearts beating fast, were head banging and screaming and singing along.  they were having a great time! this is what they lived for, in part.  people were crowd surfing ( i was to...) and although a few people were dropped, the adrenalin in their bodies took the pain.  and they jumped back up and smiled before headbanging and screaming again, to their music-loving heart's content. and we would do this forever if we could.  These people were great! the music was the best the crowd had ever heard.  but as quick as the music had began, the concert was over.  and a mob of hot, sweaty and breathless, but very happy people rushed outside the building for water and fresh air.  it was the greatest concert ever know to man...(a mankind that loved to rock...)
