Music is my life. Literally. Even if you cant carry a tune in a bucket, if you truly love music you will find a way to make it your life. My dream is to bring to the light up ad coming artists and to show teens that sticking to one genre is so 70's. I love everything from screamo to hip-hop from opera to country and from soul to rock. just broaden your damn horizon and everything will be fine. Music is my drug and i guess i can say I'm an addict. And i don't care if that sounds cheesy you an shove it up your ....
Just listen and support your favorite musicians.
Ska=Oxygen
Ska is't new and it isnt old. But for too long Ska has been just there. No one talks about how awesome Ska is. Which is GOOD!!! No one likes mainstream and Ska is so not mainstream. But listen to the artist the are crazy good. Show Ska some respect.
love what you sing
This band called Marielle sent me a message to listen to their music; and since i love finding about new music i decided why the hell not and listened. Marielle sounds great. I have never heard something so soothing, they aren't trying too hard to impress anyone and they're lyrics aren't a mystery. In each song they weave a blanket of sadness with a hint of joy. Go check them out if you like them than become a fan if you don't then move on with your life and let them move on with theirs.
its how YOU feel
The media is making music into something its not. Don't become a musician because you want to party hard, have sex and drink till you cant walk straight; that's not what its supposed to be. Everyone has there reasons for playing or writing, and when someone connects to you through your music that's when you have become a musician. Just because the world knows all your lyrics doesn't mean your are a REAL musician its the way you feel when you record that song. When your sad and you spill it into a song, when your heart is broken and gain the courage to tell the world and when your angry and you end up staying all night with your guitar so that your pain bleeds through your speaker. That when you get to call yourself a musician that when you are allowed to actually have fans who love and can relate to you. Maybe its just me but that's how the c.d. should spin.
