Requiem For A Dream

watched requiem for a dream today. wow. i was blown away. i loved it so much. the music was fantastic, not to mention the actors were good.

i loved it because it portrayed drugs as they really. in our society drugs are presented in a glamourous way. like its cool to do drugs. i mean major musicians do them, why cant i? i mean sure everyone knows the affects of drugs and all that shit. but have you noticed when you tell people no, they go out and do exactly waht you told them not to do. and in our society it is not hard to get the drugs either. you can ask for a prescription and get pills, and i bet with enough searching its not hard to find the drugs either. i dont wanna say drugs are bad or that they are good...i dont really know i just was impressed by the fact that this film, Requiem For A Dream, presented it in such a realistic way.

there is no glamorization. no beating around the bush. the mother in the movie goes on "diet pills" more like speed and goes insane! and nothing they do can help her. and basically how easy she got her pills is how it is to get them today. her son, his arm gets infected and fucked up from shooting up. (heroin) in the end it gets cut off! and hes alone. his friend get put to work like prison work or somethin. he may have been the luckiest of them. the girl turns into a fuckin junkie and started sellin herself and doin all sorts of things to get her fix! at the end of the movie she lays down and just goes to sleep cradling her drugs.

this film is powerful and just brought it all home for me. it really good. no "look i take drugs and im happy forever!" fuck no! it shows you what its like. i loved the movie. extremely glad i saw it.

random 4 am writings....

ok so ive been up all night i havent slept at ALL and im not gonna be able to sleep till maybe tonight but maybe not cause im gonna be on a bus with a ton of noisy people. well anyway...these are my lovely random 4 am thoughts.  =] (yes imwierd i know!)

1.i have had enough of AP US History and i dont give a shit about what happened with watergate and i certainly dont feel like writing an essay about it!!!

2. i would love to sleep

3. i hate that i am generally a motivated person and that my parents actually expect things from me because now i cant slack off and be lazy!

4. i need to wake up julie cause her 5 minute nap is over (over a her house doing hw)

5.im not sure i want to get  on a bus with 62 choir kids....its a nightmare waiting to happen...oh wait its happening...tonight. its gonna be.....fun?

6. im not gonna be on here for a couple days...at least i dont think i am =[ i will miss you lacey!!aka the bestest friend i have ever had!!!!!!

7. i am kidnapping ben!! muahahaha and sticking him in my bag =] he gonna go to eix flags with me wooo!! =]

8. i think this laptop is overheatin or something cause its burning me.

9. i should go finish my reading guides then finish everything else i have todobefore 6 am.

10.i only have 2 more essays to write out of the 11 i had to do yay!!!

one of my poems...

umm so ya...i dont share these usually but i dont know i felt like putting it up. so ya. although i know no one really looks at this but ya... I love you too much to tell you no. To show you my anger. To show you my hurt. I let you trample on my feelings, and i never said a word. I dony leave. I stay where I am. Here...waiting. Hoping, dreaming, wishing. That one day I'll be called into your arms like her. You wont ever say that to me. Because you know that no matter what, I'll be here. For two years I havent left. Why would I leave now? I cant. Im trapped. Because still every look and my face blushes my stomach flops. A touch and I'm tingling. I dont know why it's you and only you who does this, But it is; and it cant be helped. I love you so much it hurts. My hears squeezing, its broken. But the stupid part of me is still here for you. Waiting. Ive sabotaged myself. I wont leave and you know it. So why have me when you can have her and have me still waiting? Im a fool. I love it-I hate it. I dont know what to do. Isnt It Funny

Isnt it funny that when you go to the shops with your friends, you look down at the girl with black jeans and studs, but smile at the girl wearing a mini with a t-shirt that barely covers anything? Isnt it funny you can change your music taste to impress a guy, but when it comes to a girl who likes her own music and her own style, you give her a mouthful? ISNT IT FUNNY that a guy can get away with being a gangsta, but the emo gets a mouthful from everyone? are you laughing? Isnt it funny a emo can be quiet all through the week but gets more shit from everyone than the girl who sleeps around and sells her virginity? ISNT IT FUNNY that you dont mind your friends drinking or smoking, but the minute someone mentions emo music you can give them a lecture on melodramatic teenage outcasts? im not laughing. IT'S SO FUNNY that you and your friends can make a girls life hell and not know anything about the silent battle she might be fighting. ISNT IT FUNNY that you can call emos, punks, and goths the retards, but still manage to get through your day without an inch of guilt in your heart. HOW YOU CAN CALL A GIRL A POSER, HOW CAN YOU SAY "YOUR NOT EMO" OR "ATTENTION SEEKER" WITHOUT SPENDING A SECOND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY THERE ARE CUTS ON HER WRISTS AND WHY SHE SPENDS HER LUNCHTIMES CRYING INSTEAD OF LAUGHING WITH HER FRIENDS? KEEP ON LAUGHING! isnt it funny you can say and do all this without any idea of what is going on in this persons life without knowing her situation with her friends or her family or her life? BRAVE ISNT GOING UP ON STAGE AND STRIPPING. BRAVE IS NOT SAYING A SPEECH OR DUMPING YOUR BOYFRIEND. BRAVE IS GOING TO SCHOOL ON MUFTI DAY AND NOT FOR A SECOND CARE WHAT THE WHORES AROUND YOU ARE SAYING ABOUT YOUR CLOTHES. ITS LISTENING TO YOUR OWN MUSIC AND BEING PROUD OF IT. ITS GOING THROUGH EVERY DAY WITH THE THINGS PEOPLE SAY TO YOUR FACE AND BEHIND YOUR BACK AND YOU STILL KEEP QUIET ITS KNOWING WHAT YOUR "FRIENDS" ARE SAYING ABOUT YOU AND STILL CALLING THEM YOUR FRIENDS.
