OK, so last night, the RADIO REBELLION TOUR made its stop in San Diego. The show was nothing short of amazing. Every band (that plaeed) put on an amazing show.
At around 5:55, we started to drive down to SOMA. Halfway there, Cody says, he forgot his ticket! That dumbshit. lmao. So we drive all they way back to Codys, get the ticket, then go down to SOMA. Might i add that the doors opened at 6. piss!!! when we finally got there, at 6:30, we saw that they hadnt let people in yet. and luckly, chris was int he front of the line. About time we caught a break. We went in, got some shit, then headed to the front. For the remainder of the show, we were in the second row. Ive never been that close at a show before :D
The First band, was Bless The Fall. Theyre a new band from Pheonix, AR. And they all look like really young. Like straight out of high school. But theyre set was incredible. They all had so much passion on stage. They later stated that this was theyre fist time playing in San Diego. Theyre first time playing in California period. It was crazy. Im for sure seeing them the next time they come here. I bought theyre CD so i can know the songs, next time they play. Great stage presence, sick breakdowns, and chill dudes. Great band, check em out.
So The Fully Down was supposed to play next, but for some reason, they didnt. That kinda pissed me off right there. But the next band was Misery Signals. They were realllllly good. Theyre pretty much your typical hardcore band, but something about them was different. Im not sure, but they were really good. There light show was crazy. Again, these guys had great stage presence and sweet breakdowns. You should check them out also.
And now to the good stuff- Fear Before The March Of Flames. They were intense, for the most part. The first song, was as insane as expected, but halfway through the first song. Dave (the singer), got smacked in the face with a bass head. He fell straight to the ground. He was tehre for like 5 minutes. Luckly he got up and did the rest of the set, minus a few songs. He had fucking balls dude. Get hit in the face that hard, and still play the set?!?! fucking crazy. They crowed started pushing, and i made my way to the barracade. It was sweeeeet. They played "Should have Stayed In The Shadows" and i went nuts. They have so much stage presence. The light show was incredible. They were crazy good live. I gotta see them again.
Next was Between The Buried And Me. I swear, they were fucking insane. Everyone was fucking amazing at theyre own instruments. The only odd part, is that they dont look the part. Like listen to theyre music, then look at pictures of them. They dont match. lmao. But they were really good live. They did a cover of Queens "Bicycle Race" it was reall good. The singer has a good singing voice. He dosnt need to scream as much.
And now, the reason we went. NORMA-FUCKING-JEAN. like first, i cant even describe they're stage set up. There was oddly placed stacks of amps. A screen in the back. Lights everywhere. Like you truly had to see in to belive it. Im not even kidding. Norma Jean was everything i thought they would be. They were an amzing live band. They moved around on stage so much. So much stage acrobatics. They added a new drummer, so now they have 2. It was fucking crazy. The only sad part, was that we had to leave at 10:50, and they started playing at 10:15. so we didnt see theyre whole set. :( piss!!!! but well see them next time.
Overall, it was an amazing show. If you didnt go. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
