Daniel Leviyev, better known as Hollogram, was born on March ninth 1992, and since moving to New York from Russia at the age of seven, has lived in New York City since 1999. When Daniel first began parkour he was doing it for all the wrong reasons, using the art to gain access to areas otherwise unreachable in order to tag his graffiti art in them. Despite this, he soon came to appreciate the art for the joy, freedom, and tight community it had to offer him, and traded vandalism for spreading the freedom of the art to others. To him parkour has become more then a hobby or a sport, its grown to become both a form of artful expression as well as a lifestyle that brings him a sense of freedom he never imagined he would find in this concrete jungle. For him, the walls and rails of this city have transformed from a cage into playground, something all of us inspired by the art can relate with.
