1. The Wild World of Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park, Assam is a UNESCO world natural site. Surrounded with hills and River Brahmaputra, the endangered species of one-horned rhinos safely reside at Kaziranga; 70% of the world population of rhinos are here.

 4. The royal kingdom of Gir

The Sasan-Gir Wildlife  sanctuary, Gujarat is one of the oldest Indian sanctuaries. It is the only place in India where the endangered species of lions inhabit.

This biodiverse region is also the breeding ground for the florican, osprey and Indian pitta birds. Checkout the large pythons, crawling star tortoise, ferocious leopards and relaxing marsh crocodiles here.

5. The custodian of the solitary wildlife, Hemis National Park

The Hemis National Park, Leh is a must visit to witness a different wild lifestyle. This is the only Himalayan national park of India.

The endangered snow leopards are protected here by Mother Nature; there are almost 200 snow leopards here. This high altitude park is also the only refuge for the wild sheep, Shapu. The Asiatic Ibex, Tibetian wolf, Eurasian brown bear and the cunning red fox also inhabit Hemis.

Visit the Rumbak valley for bird watching; robin accentor, tickell’s leaf warbler, Tibetan snowfinch, rosefinch, red billed chough and serins are rare at other Indian national parks.
