My son turned 10 years old today. My wife worked out taking him, his little brother, his neighbor and a friend of the family all out to the Fort Worth Zoo. I mean it was the perfect day for it. We had a really great time. Spent most of the day out there. I'm really excited about all this, but what really amazes me the most is that I have a ten year old son!!! Ha ha, he's great though.
He has grown into the most promising reward in my life. He's just great! A kind heart that appreciates all the simple things in life as if they were the great "Wonders of the World". He gets so excited when you are able to do anything for him and makes your easiest efforts seem like great accomplishments. I'm so proud of him.
The zoo was nearly just the same as our last visit, but they have such a great time there that it's always worth the trip. He got a little nervous near the White Tiger exhibit when it came all the way up on the glass the way it did. But was nearly climbing all over the reptile cages where the snakes and lizards were kept. The Gorilla came over and slapped the glass where we were standing for our entertainment; I hope for our entertainment (ha ha, yeah).
Anyway, it was a great day. We all had fun. Happy birthday Jordan!!
I thank all of you who have added me to your friends list. I look forward to hearing from all of you. Personally, I haven't spent much time in visiting your profiles yet, but I have just been merely more pre-occuppied than I'd desire to be. If you ever get the urge to just drop me a line or leave comments on my profile, don't hesitate.
I am being Re-Created every morning. With each new morning that I am given I am choosing to walk out what I have learned from the day before. It's not easy, but I realize that I am no longer the same. From one moment to the next I am experiencing the things that will lead me to my completion.
When I was younger, it seemed that maturity came in stages. That it took a group of lessons and situations to make the points that would cause me to adjust in to becoming more mature and more patient. But now it's an every day thing. As the day comes to a close and I lay my head down to rest for the night, I take into account everything that has happened that day. It's as if an evaluation of my performance of how I handled each issue occurs throughout my slumber. I wake the next morning, receiving God's new Mercies, determined to be better than yesterday. I don't take it as a failure, but a new opportunity.
Because of this, I honestly accept that I am now who I am to be tomorrow. Have I been completed? Have I reached the end of the race? By no means, no way. What I am trying to say is that I am already the completed package that I am to be, because I am living through, learning from and accepting the changes that are taking place that will lead me to be who I am to be. I am what I will be once I've been finished, because I am experiencing those things that will created the completed package I am to be.
Each new day is easier to face, knowing that I am getting closer to the best I can be! Without the issues in my life today I would not have faced the challenges that have formed my character. This is to say that I have full confidence that God is in control of my life. Can I learn from His plans for my life? Can I learn from the circumstances of my own decisions? Regardless, of what has happened in my life was it not all of what has shaped me into who I am? And won't it affect who I end up to be? I'm not afraid of it anymore. I will lay down to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow a brand new man. I have been Re-Invented.
Special Thanks goes to...
