so... warped :)

well it seems like everyone is posting their own reviews about warped tour, so i feel like i should share part of my existential experience.

it was .. uhm friday july 17 at the susquehanna bank center in camden, nj. (yep bang bang nj). i actually live in PA, but more than half the kids at the show were from philly anyways.

i got there kinda late- about 2 hrs after the gates opened so i couldn't use my canned goods i brought to jump in line :( (twitter!!!) but now that the gates were open, my friend mackenzie and i split up with the group to do our own thing. it started to drizzle a little and we got wet, but hell, that made it better! first we took pictures of the schedule and from there we walked around sets and tents. i got some free stuff and shirts.

the first band we saw was ..the maine. i hate them but my friend loves them, so yeah :/ but after that was escape the fate! so right after the maine, my friend and i zoomed to the front and ended up getting a nice close position- close to monte. which is a good thing because he's really hot now haha. (not that he wasn't before but being a vegan has changed him) ETF was the chiz. enough said. i took a lot of pictures and screamed my head off. but of course, for the wall of death, mack and i got out of the pit.

then we saw sing it loud. not a bad set and we were right up front! i've never been up so front and holding the gate thing- there was NO ONE in front of us :D during this one song, some girl kicked my head while crowd surfing and when i looked up, nate, the bassist blew me a kiss. awh he was sweet :) soon after that i accidentally deleted all my pics. fuck yes i did. probably because that idiot girl kicked my head i became stupid. anyways, all my ETF pics gone. i was frickin pissed....

then i heard that we missed chiodos. yeah, i lost it. i screamed but we were in middle of therefore tomorrow's set and no one heard me. (they play REALLY LOUD!) we were a little tired so we sat down in the seats and the guitarist of therefore brought out a camera and told us to do the wave. i was sitting in the back so i waved my poster and he gave me a thumbs up! hahah. next to them the millionaries had just performed. my god they were horrible. i didn't even feel bad the crowd booed them off the stage.

then we saw tv/tv. we were walking around tents (i saw madina lake, white tie affair, and saosin!!!!!) and we stopped by their set. they were killin it!! i was so shocked there was like no people there because tv/tv's an amazinggggggg band. they're unsigned, but their new ep's out! check it out! haha. we met them later at an acoustic set and they're just incredibly nice peeps.

next to them was the scenic. we checked those kids out and they're alright too. they're people people and have awesome music as well. once in a while, listening to the scenic will keep you at peace :)

then we saw some less than jake, a skylit drive, and other ska bands. i didn't really listen to them before, but i regret it. next time, knowing a couple of each bands songs would be helpful.

finally, we saw scary kids scaring kids. by then, it started to rain bad. we couldn't get to hear faces (the song i was looking forward to the most) or my darkest hour (the first song of theirs i heard) because the rain was coming down hard. everyone was soaking wet and looked like they just jumped into the pool ahah. for the record, warped tour weather this year is terrible. in general, this summer has been really wet! anyways, that's it. warped tour 09. hell yeah i'm coming back next year!!
