One should never dictate your happiness, but the difficulty which lies in that is that once you connect with someone you give them power. You allow them into your heart and grant them the compulsion and influence to alter your bearing in a breath, a look, a word, an instant.

Friendship weaves the fabrics of hearts and mends the wounds of hurt survived but lingering, those scars and cuts that refuse to heal: injuries we convince ourself do not exist, do not hurt...as much. From the moment you relate to a person, you can choose to nurture that bond, strengthen it and let it grow or abandon it to dwindle off and die.

Though it's easy enough to say one person shouldn't impact whether or not you are happy, it's an arduous challenge to overcome and wholeheartedly fulfill. We prosper when we live in sync and union with one another. As it was, as it were, as it be, as it may together we rise, divided we fall. Life is a game o f Dominoes; each move you make sets another in  motion as they continue to ripple and tumble endlessly. 

Maybe one shouldn't dictate your happiness but the truth of the matter is that love knows better. Love, it's as simple as that. Love is the reason why. In love, for love, with love, by love, to love, be love, all love always in all ways.
