Hi, I'm Emily. That in short tells you a lot about me. I'm absolutely corny and the biggest nerd you'll ever meet. I adore anything to do with superheroes [the old kind of course] and I'm a giant music freak. Liking the styles anywhere from The Beatles, to underground bands like The Postal Service, to Alexisonfire. I like hanging out with friends, and the whole relaxing thing [which a lot of us haven't had due to exams and school, not to mention work]. I make weird faces at people for fun, and I call people weird names when I'm mad at them [ie. Rick-A-tron]. I write a whole lot [as you can see], and I live on my laptop almost 24/7 [one day, one day...] That's about it, later gators.

Music?

So I find is quite weird that all of us are so obsessed with music. Don't get me wrong, I'm just as big as music-struck person as anyone, but I mean the need to feel that music almost increases our social status'. Take example how much we all loathe tweens and how they ruin good bands. PANIC! At the disco was pretty nice until they were put on MTV and little 13 year olds screamed the lyrics in an out-of-tune fashion. I'm dreading the day where all the much-loved underground bands become popular beyond belief.

I find that music is what we use to let out what we feel inside, and so we listen to what suits the mood we hold. But the tweens that listen to anything that is cool reflects almost on the band. = yeah, kind of lame.

Oh well, it leads us to think that bands are cool unless they begin to seem only good because of the media and little children who have them on repeat.

Dang foo... I think you hit it bang on in your blog
about music. It sucks when underground bands sell out
and I know exactly what you mean about thirteen year
olds screaming out lyrics in an out of tune fashion.
Prime Example: Death Cab for Cutie...new album
\"Plans\": could\'ve been worse but definitely
could\'ve been a whole a lot better. Keep rocking.
