Straylight Run is on tour with Sparta and Lovedrug.
Sparta is an amazingly energetic band with lively tunes.
Straylight Run is a band that I grew up listening to after the Taking Back Sunday split. Their songs are very inspirational to me and their lyrics are pricelessly filled with meaning. John, Michelle, Shaun, and Will are all heroes to me.
This blog is about Lovedrug though.
I went to a show in NYC, 6.22.07 @ Irving Pl. After the show Straylight came out and chilled with the guests. On the line to see them my friend got this Sparta song line up sheet. And then I looked to my left and I saw someone from Lovedrug and told him to get it signed...
Lovedrugs equipment was stolen on tour in Detroit...
It sucks. But here is this guy from Lovedrug and he is just sitting there and my friend goes to him and asks him to sign the Sparta song rundown. He just signed it. No questions, or irritation at the little confusion... and that was that...
after someones equipment (instruments and such) gets stolen, their life is sorta taken from em in a sense. if it happened to me i would question myself constantly on humanities ability to be moral and in this constant doubt, i would have turned a kid who confuses me for someone else away. I think that would be a natural and mild response.
But the guy from Lovedrug... he just signed it...
maybe thats what heroes are made of.
