maybe we all need to just turn around

Secret success is hard to express when anxiety was the secret before
Pretending to smile and saying life is grand were becoming a bore
But now there is a reason and now there is a light
Perseverance, perseverance, perseverance has stopped keeping me up at night.

Why is it that men want to blame God for the bad and thank Him only for good?
Our Lord is one of victories; touchdowns, cups, medals and crowns.
But what do the losers pray at the end of the day?
Lord you allowed me to play! Thank you for a chance at life today.
That stuff never makes the news, but it makes hearts bigger and prayer lives stronger.
Its a little backwards, but maybe we all need to just turn around.
