That's Life
Don't tell me, "That's life isn't it?" I know what life is, I'm alive after all! I'm trying to share it with you, you say "It is what it is" in a non-sensitive way These are struggles we all have to have Your situation's not special, people have Been coping since before you were born. There is something about sameness that Makes people unique. So don't trample my Feelings just because you've got your own.
The burn of grace
Is this really progress? It's painful enough. I feel like I'm shooting
myself in the foot, over and over again, and no one has noticed the
limping. To hide it I live in this chair. All I have to offer are
stifled cries for help that I don't really want you to hear.

Secret success is hard to express when anxiety was the secret before
Pretending to smile and saying life is grand were becoming a bore
But now there is a reason and now there is a light
Perseverance, perseverance, perseverance has stopped keeping me up at night.
Why is it that men want to blame God for the bad and thank Him only for good?
Our Lord is one of victories; touchdowns, cups, medals and crowns.
But what do the losers pray at the end of the day?
Lord you allowed me to play! Thank you for a chance at life today.
That stuff never makes the news, but it makes hearts bigger and prayer lives stronger.
Its a little backwards, but maybe we all need to just turn around.

Hey man thanks so much for your kind words! I played
in St Louis once with a ska band that I played with in
college -- it was fun! It would be cool to visit
again. Yeah, those are two of the best books ever.
