Hey whats up my name is Matt...I am a guitar player from New Jersey. I am in the band Psycho Empire which is on here and also a death metal band called Disregard. I also used to play in the bands Pantheon (later Act of Violence, which was on here), Stop Invading My Privacy, and Cougar Chair. I used to come on here a lot and now I guess I'm back again.
My Return To Purevolume After Nearly A Year of Abscense
Hey whats up...a lot of you were friends with me on here like 2 years ago and I kind of dissapeared about a year and a half ago, well I'm back as an active user of PureVolume (I came back on occasionally since then) for the first time in a really long while and I doubt that many of you remember me, but I just wanted to say some things and clear some things up. First off, I left PureVolume during a time when my life was spiralling downward emotionally and my band Pantheon/Act of Violence, my real purpose for being here, had reached it's endpoint. Those were very dark times for me and I would rather not get into details, but as time went on and things got better and better I joined some new bands that were on MySpace, so I didn't come here too much and made my own MySpace. However, now that I have finally begun a project run by myself again, and due to a bit of nostalgia, I have come back to PureVolume. Seeing my old profile and blogs and pictures brings back some really warm memories. I am looking forward to my second and hopefully more productive run here and talking to some old and making new friends again. I closed down the Pantheon/Act of Violence PureVolumne many months ago because I had felt there was no purpose to keep it. I gravely regret this now that the nostalgic value of that band has really grown in my favor. I remember writing blogs on their that reflected the fun and great times I had with my friends and I really miss those days, but I feel that in time things will be even better. I have a new project called Psycho Empire. It will (pretty surly) feature a few former members of Pantheon and may even actually get some real music on PureVolume. Add us, you will love it. As you can guess, Pantheon/Act of Violence pretty much broke up. I pretty much decided to can the whole thign during the summer of 07' when I joined a new band called Cougar Chair, they are on here too, even though I'm not with them anymore, add them, their good. Thats all. I miss all of you guys and all the memories...I didn't realize until now how much I really loved this website... -Matt
Emo Is Gay
Emo is the worst kind of rock there is, in fact, it's almost as bad as rap. It is music for whiny wrist slitting rich boys who think their life "sucks" because their parents wouldn't let them go out one time on Friday night. The music is simplistic and boring. It has three chord guitar parts, weak and out-of-time drums, whiny, feminine singing, and inaudible bass lines. My own band Pantheon, which is only in it's formitive stages, already sounds better than every single emo band ever to walk this Earth. Whatever happened to the days when it took skill to be a rock star? Does anyone else see through this garbage?

Who da hell is dis! wait, its billy.... I was talking
to Martin today about it, and ummm... That song was
spur of the moment, and i wasn't there when it was
recorded, justin says its a really rough sketch. But,
we'll have some sick songs coming up soon, Me and Conor
have planned out this major album for the past 8 months
or so, its Metal/Prog... Anyway Ill tell you more in
school.
