Poetry: A Place Where You Belong
music pumping through your veins
the loud scream in your ear
shaking your teeth, filling your body
you scream the lyrics of your favorite song
inside these walls is the only place you belong
you felt you could never fit in until you came here
only when you heard the power chords you felt it
the beat of the earth pounding down
the strum of the bass intertwines with the beat of your heart
wailing and screaming coming through the speakers
people so different who never got along
all now united as one
breathing and singing the chorus so strong
realizing that your finally apart of something bigger than yourself
the sudden rush buiding up in your throat that you want to let out
you have a voice and opinion
one day you could be on the stage creating something beautiful
something strong you can hold onto in the dark
though for now your in the audience singing along
but you have something no one can ever take away
a place were you belong
dedicated to all the teens that only belong in the concrert
venues with the bands that shaped our lives
