Mr. Big

It's a good thing I was able to watch them when I was a kid (yeah like WAY BACK... "I'm the one who wants to be with you. Deep inside I hope you feel it too..." Yeah... Singing that hit song of theirs.. Gives me nostalgic memories...)

It sucks too coz now that I grew back my interest, they won't perform live or won't make and play music together sinc etheir 2002 Farewell. Oh well. 12 years is A LOT! They have their lives, you know.

But their music will be remembered as a respected classic, rock and roll melodies and bumps and thuds and all of the sort.... I feel happy to just hear their songs again.


And here's the latest picture with Richie Kotzen before they disbanded for good. (It was a good 12 years, so as they say...)

My American Heart

Ugh, I shouldn't be posting this, and rather, shouldn't be introducing this band to you. But oh well I'm bored and I don't give a fuck if they go "all the way up" coz it'll be good for them I guess and the heck I care, but then anyway...

For me this band sounds uniquely different. Plus, I think there's like a bunch of Filipinos in here, so that makes them more sick! Way to go. Suddenly I feel so happy. They should come here to Manila and see that we rock, and Filipinos rock! Especially in the underground industry, coz the not-so-underground? Well... I dunno...



I think, if I'm not mistaken, they had 2 ex-bassists. Or is it one. I dunno. I use to read a lot of articles on the net but now, I can't seem to have the time to do it.

Common Sounds, Common Genre on Common Gigs

here in Manila, most of the evolving bands are "emo" or "screamo" for reasons I can't quite comprehend. Maybe it's much easier to do. I don't know if it's because it's cool that's why almost every person who walks with a guitar is so high and mighty of saying "Hey, I'm a guitarist of an emo band..." Commonality can sometimes be so disturbing...

And I won't be surprised if it gets WAY on the Mainstream Dimension. When that time comes, I'll go back to jazz and new age music. Haha...

But then again, I don't give a wheeny what happens to the genres I indicated. As long as it helps me through the days of my life, when I'm bored, when I feel like listening to 'over & over' riffs and whiny screaches of screams and all the sort you can hear from emo/screamo. As long as it's there, I don't care.

"I want to listen to it coz I'm in the mood."

That's all there is to it.

i'm listening to saosin now. cove is an awesome singer. the new songs are awesome. i just wished he didn't sing those which anthony sang. sometimes the original is much better. hehe.

tomorrow, i and my band, are going to play in Greenvine Bar, Malate. The best of luck for us.

Music is such a prize...

It's an emotion I'd never uinderstand but will forever love.
