Miillonaires? or just damn broke?
ok so I have been hearing here and there about this group called millionaires. So today I decided to go check them out. So here I am on the computer and I go on to YouTube search Millionaires and pick a random song apparently called Alchol. The sound that my speakers were projecting was almost unreal. I thought maybe this is a joke band. Boy was I wrong. They are pretty much dead serious. I ask myself since when did myspace sluts become an actual band going touring and making money? Since when did warpered tour allow this thing to happen?

I like all music (well, except country, eww) I mostly like the old stuff, you know when music wasn't all watered down to stupid wannabe emo crap. I love Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin, Big brother and the holding company, the who, the beatles (of course) the mamas and the papas, the grateful dead, THE DOORS, LED ZEPPLIN you know all that good stuff. The thing is that i noticed a trend. The whole hippie vibe thing has become a whole fashion and like you see these stupid blonde preppy chicks wearing save the planet t-shirts and saying their fave band is the beatles.They think that they know one song and all of a sudden there hardcore fans or something. The thing that i hate the most is that they don't really appreciate the music and really listen to the lyrics and there meanings. Ppl back in those days were poets (especially jim morrison who actually wrote a poetry book, crtics were not so kind) and if you can't listen to them and fully enjoy the musical experience they intended it to be, then don't listen at all.

ok so i was on the internet the other day and i was just looking at the news section (yea i read the news im a nerd) anyways i noticed something everything in there was about reality tv stars and gay ass disney "stars" if thats wat you call it these days. I mean come on! first of all all of these ppl have no talent what so ever (yea im talkin about you Miley Cyrus) man this crap is so GAY!!

There's really a very simple answer to your question.
Being a musician is a lot of work, and it takes a lot
of time to write and record songs and play shows and do
all the other stuff that's involved. There's not really
much time to do these things if you also need to work
an additional job or go to school or whatever. That's
why if music is your passion you need to find a way to
make a career out of it. The best way to do this is to
get signed, and unfortunately, the people who work for
labels don't have the luxury of signing a band for the
love of music. The music has to be marketable as a
product, at least to some degree. Therefore, every
little bit helps...the positive comments, the attention
from "scene sluts" as you put it, any attention I can
draw to my band to prove that it is a viable project.
Now this doesn't mean I don't love the music, nor does
it mean that I or any of our band makes tailor our
music in any way for the purpose of getting signed or
attracting more fans. We make the music we like to
write and the music we love to play...ultimately we
strive to write the music we want to hear. I feel we
have made strides in this direction and if you give our
debut album (oct 24) a listen, I bet you will
impressed. I am not fake, I am simply on a mission. I
hope this clears things up for you. Don't be a hater
