Titus 1:16

I was really tired of seeing the stupid thing that says "dritch has had an uneventful life and hasn't posted any entries yet". well......i don't wanna see that message anymore.

so here's a quick study on a verse from the Bible, Titus 1:16

Titus 1:16 - "They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed."

This is one of the biggest dangers that any Christian should be aware of in their relationship with Christ and that is the visible evidence of our faith. We can make alot of statements and proclamations about our faith and how strong or growing it may be. Yet, we allow our faith to be show as irrelevant as we go through our day sinning and conducting life just like the rest of the world.

We make an identity with Christ as we choose to follow Him, make a visible symbol to walk with Christ through baptism and we enter into a fellowship of believers (the church) to grow and expand in our relationship with Christ. But, we do all this; we hear His Word and then we enter back into our daily lives as if it is separate from our relationship with Our Father.

Ezekiel 33:31 says: "They come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their mouth, and their heart goes after their gain." Its so easy to allow ourselves to be so boastful of our own faith and then as soon as some strong temptation comes along, we crumble in faith and we accept what our flesh craves.

Simply let God teach you and then allow that teaching to shape your attitude and behavior, in order that we may be a bold witness with our mouth and our behavior.

sorry this is so late dude, man life is hectic, I wish
I had that watch from the clackstoppers movie so I
could freeze time and do all my computer stuff.
baptist, nice. I got to a non-denominational church
called grace. Do you guys happen to have a band at your
holy place?

Hannah

haha, yea, white chicks soesn't exactly make me think
about the meaning of life and put me in the Ghandi
zone, but its a good movie just to goof off to. Just a
random question, but what type of church do you youth
ministerize (that can't be right) at? Don't worry, i
won't run off if its not the type I go to :]

kaley :)

life is crazy!i guess its like a rolar coster.

kaley :)

nm.long and tiering.10th can be so hard.but idk i guess
good. and u?

Hannah

dude, I am so sorry this is so late, I've been so
negligent to my purevolume account these days. But yes,
Fight Club is so...deep, and meaningful but cleverly
disguised behind violence. But it really is an epic
movie, even though I never got to finish it, but I had
my suspicions about its greatness all along. Ummm, my
fav, movie is probably the White Chicks...not exactly
as thought-provoking as Fight club :

kaley :)

hey

Hannah

three years, eh? Mmm that's been quite a few years. Has
it been just awesome getting to spread the good news to
teenagers from miles around? I know this has nothing to
do with youth pasterness or anything, but what's your
favorite movie?

Hannah

haha, well you seem to be workin the 'no arm' lifestyle
pretty well. So how long have you been a youth pastor?
