Simplicity

look at me through worldly eyes
and you will see a child
who laughs and plays, no knowledge of
brokenness or guile
no experience or intellect
has fully been instilled
you judge because my innocence
has not been entirely killed
but lovely there is something more
than you will ever know
because i am so secretive
i'll never let it show
i only play a child
so you may know how to learn
i only use simplicity
so you still feel secure
i will play with you for now
just as a child does
i will appear naive until
the whole world learns to love
only the most sensitive
will hear a voice so delicate
to understand the meaning behind
there's no need to be intelligent
words like any other love
can cloud your heart and mind
so strip yourself completely until
wholesome emptiness you find
because only when you're empty
will you find room to grow
and as long as you are growing
you'll always have something to show
