Sub City Take Action! - Kicked Ass
The concert was fuking great... Hit the Lights played better than any of the other bands, followed closely by Early November. Matchbook Romance sounded like garbage - no clue at all why they were headliners. Bullshit. No matter... if Hit the Lights keeps playing they way they did and if their album gets the attention it deserves, these guys are gonna be big.
"This is a stick up... Don't make it a murder" is great.. listened to the entire album on my commute into work. Gotta love when other drivers are staring while you sing along in heavy traffic :P Fuk you, I'm a huge fan now.
House of Blues needs to change their damn policy. No smoking and no cameras is as lame as you can get. No real cameras allowed but bastards were taking pictures with their camera phones en-masse. Figure out that logic. If its the flash photography that they don't want... why not let people take pictures without the flash?? Idiots.

I scored my pair of tickets to the Sub City Tour playing at the House of Blues in Chicago on Tuesday... I can't wait! I've been wanting to see "Hit the Lights" in concert for a while now... and this concert happens to land on the same day as their new album release "This is a stick up... Don't make it a murder" - Bodybag, the single off that album is tiight. (=
Will be my first time to the House of Blues, despite the fact that I live less than a mile from it. The venue is sure to be better than Logan's Square, where i usually catch small concerts.
Sabotaged!!
We appear to have pinpointed the problems with our database system and the various bugs which have been cropping up for the past 2 or 3 weeks. It took a little bit of deductive reasoning, but the answer was blatantly obvious... had w thoughtt to think outside the normal causes of such bugs, the answer was right in our faces. Check this shit:
Just about a month ago, one of the employees in our Integrated Services department announced her departure (2 weeks notice) for greener pastures. She was a quiet one who did her work and part without complaints (none we heard about at any rate). We thought she was leaving with mutual respect for her fellow employees and the company... Turns out we were wrong. This biatch...all I can think to call her at his moment. >8( ...made some unauthorized file edits without permission. To add insult to injury, she did not document the changes nor notifying anyone. Likely this was done purposefully with the intent of fuking the system. Which she appears to have done a pretty good job of in the process.
I've read about companies being the victims of sabotage from hackers, crackers, etc. But never have I worked for a company and witnessed it first hand on such a scale. Had we thought to investigate what files she accessed before she quit, maybe we would not have been chasing our tails for 2 weeks looking for a solution. Fuking bitch. I'm just bent about the extra trouble and work it has dumped on the rest of us... generally everyone. Not everyone was responsible for her disgruntled attitude, so why did she fuk us all over equally. Whatever... Karma is a bitch. She'll get her's in the end.
Still planning...
...my vacaton this year. I haven't decided whether to head someplace warm with beaches and ladies in bikinis, or back to Europe like last year. So far my main two options are - Baja Mexico in the Los Cabos area, or a multi-stop European tour from the Netherlands, to Denmark, ending up in Sweden.
Baja Mexico would be interesting. I have never been there, nor as far southwest before. The beaches there are incredible, and considering I haven't been to a "real" beach in nearly 2 years, it would be fan-fukin-tastic. I need warm weather now! I would have to be sure to hit up Cabo Wabo while vacationing there... Can't pass up on that notorious nightclub and the tequila. From what I've heard from friends... its a T n' A buffet. No problems scoring there.
On the other hand, being back in Europe would be fun as well. Not quite as warm, but the history and the culture to soak up over there is unmatched. If I end up with a slight lay-over in London, I will look up on of my friends who's pretty keen on the body-mod, punk scene there. Maybe we'll be able to hit some of the clubs if theres time. The real treat would be the days spent in Amsterdam, smoking and drinking it up, nuff said... And then in Sweden to visit my boy Jonas. He says i'll have no problems at all landing ladies for a few unforgettable days and nights. We'll see... ;)
Either way it goes, I need to decide soon. Gotta book the resort reservations, plane tickets, and set aside the food/booze/smoking cash. This looks to be one hot damn vacation year. Can't wait!
Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re tonight at Empty Bottle!
Gah! The concert is tonight at Empty Bottle on Western Ave, but I don't think I will have time to catch them while they are in town. I first saw them at the Suicide Girls Burlesque show at Logan's Square in Oct of 2005 and their music was far better than I anticipated. I don't speak a lick of Nipponese, but their sound is sex to my ears - melodic yet spontaneous, with a hint of frustration. Mari tossing her long hair while banging across stage - hot and fuking sexy. =o
Dunno when they will be back in Chicago, but I intend to swing by the club to grab one of their albums tonight. We'll see how it goes.
In other news - fuking 1" of snow predicted tonight. W T F?!? I won't stop bitching about the weather until Spring is here in full goddamn swing.
K, back to work... Bugs cropping up in the system, and we can't pin-point the cause. Someones gonna die if this isn't fix. (><)
