going back to basics;

People these days, myself included, LOVE finding new music. You know exactly what I mean; everyones always looking for the next biggest song, the future of music as we know it. People spend so much time looking for what could be coming next, they stopped appreciating what already was.

Everyone's taste in music is different; that's what makes it so special. But, there's years of amazing songs out there waiting to be heard. You'd be surprised at how much you can connect with a song that was written decades before you were even alive. Some of my personal favorite artists come from times past.

If you love acoustic tracks as much as I do, you have to check out Cat Stevens. He perfectly combines soulful lyrics with a catchy beat. Listening to his album "Teaser and the Firecat" completely changed my perspective on music. It's one of my favorite albums of all time; I reccomend it to anyone.

Cat Stevens not your style? Don't worry; there's tons of other options to check out. Listen to some John Denver, Bob Dylan, The Carpenters, The Beatles, Moody Blues. There's thousands of possibilities.

Maybe I'm just nostalgic for times I never had, but I guarantee that a look into music's past is invaluable.
