If i was given a chance to sum up life for what it was i would have to say it is plain and undeniably "hectic". Now, many may classify hectic as something harsh or crucial but dont get me wrong, it can be looked at in many different perspectives. Like for Instants, in a mind of a toddler, the world is probably this huge play ground, filled with wonder and dangers that they will probably find out in the first 2 to 5 years of their life. They test the things around them. They watch the busy cars from inside their house in wonderment. Not thinking of the person in the car, they just think of it as a thing that speeds by really fast and disappears to nowhere. It has no destination to a little one. It just simply vanishes and some youngens may take this to be very, well sad so they cry. They definately live for the moment. They dont look into the next minute, its right now. They havnt learned consequence so to them, anything goes. Any play goes, anything breaks. Of course they know its wrong, its human nature, we know our faults, some we know without even being told. A toddler doesnt apologize, he'll siimply cry or shrug it off and move to something else. Hectic to a toddler i suppose would be called "mystery" or "adventure".
To a Junior High student. Hectic is in itself "Drama". The age where everything in life just simply sucks. Life sucks, friends suck, homework by far sucks, which is probably very little ,but it still sucks. Teachers are lame, they give to much, and parents dont understand the things they go through. This is how they think. They havent quite figured out who they are yet. They are caught up between childhood and adulthood and they are infact very immature most of the time. They look to the bad of everything, they gossip, they tell on others, they cover up their lies and they think they are bad. Which may be nothing to us older ones but to them, they think they were born to be rebels. They are loud, they just figured out that they could do more with the opposite sex then JUST holding hands. They jump in too early to experience new things, trying to immitate what they see from the older siblings or older students that they know. This behavior is often overlooked but should be looked into more, they just want to feel older then they are. They are here to impress, each other and everyone else around them. They could careless what the younger generation thought, they want to be older, they want to fit in with the more highly sophisticated and rebellious teenagers "such as ourself" (a little side note giggle). Hectic to them is "Drama"
To a freshman in high school- Hectic is "experience". They have went passed the point now of immaturity to growing up a little. They have stepped into the years of many challenges and new found pleasures and curiousities. They are starting to form cliques that they will probably stay with for the rest of their high school career, they may not be close but they are a group and thats all tha counts. The girls start plastering the makeup and the boys start lowering the pants. Shirts get tighters, skirts get higher. The boys start realizing that to impress a girl, they have to atleast smell good. Freshmen seem to have quite a keen nose for offensive smells and as blunt as they are, they will let you know if you smell. They are starting to realize that grades are important but only a select few of them will actually try to stay average or above. The rest are just in it for fun and adventure. Drama is still a factor but its toning down as their maturiry level is being boosted. They start to find individuality but some may stray away too shy to reveal their true selves while others bloom into their own person without a care in the world. This is rarely found amongst these types. To freshman and Sophmores- Hectic is "Experience".
To a Junior in high school, Hectic is "STRESS". They view the world around them as huge gigantic work field. Where homework is bountiful and tests are frequently given. This is probably the most crusial point of their high school career. They have to work harder, they cant slack on a single assignment, they have to prove that they are growing up. Teachers dont put up with much slack. They have grown up. Some may be delayed but they should catch up before high school is over...some, never will. Some are looking to achieve, wanting to be head of everything. Top of ever counsil on the school. Top of the class, top of athletics. Its a years of complete competition. Its the way it goes. Juniors are competitive. They start stressing about college, even though they have a year to go. They look into everything that they can. They want to be prestigious but they sometimes get wrapped up in it all. High school is supposed to be fun right?? not dramatic and hectic. Drinking becomes a huge roll in this age. Some may never taste it, but others, unfortunately, will be come quite accquinted with this drug and it will occupy most of their revenue, taking up their life. They are stressed but they are still looking to have a little fun...for some, maybe more fun then concentration. For others, too little fun, too much concentration..which is better? They ar still children, they just think they have to plan out their future so much. In all reality, what they might be working into now, may never be what they actually become. Life takes its courses. To a junior Hectic is simply "Stress"
As for the rest of the stages, i will continue on once i have dealt with them and experienced them for myself. I have no knowledge of seniors or beyond that point, im only a junior but i will be sure to finish this blog ones i've finished more stage sof hectic in my world.
Thanks, TAFN. Demi
