Heartbreaking News.
Casey Calvert of Hawthorne Heights passed away in his sleep on Saturday night.
The cause of his tragic death is still unknown.
I will greatly miss Casey, his energy and his kindness. He was such an amazing guy, that this news utterly breaks my heart.
My thoughts are with Casey's family and bandmates, and all my hopes are that Casey's in a better place, smiling at all the support and love all HH fans have shown.
RIP Casey.
You will be dearly missed.

Ok, so let's begin at the beginning: Cobra Starship was on first and I'm sad to say we missed a little of their set :( Well, i wish we'd seen the whole thing, because they were AWESOME! Gabe sounds great live, and during Snakes on a Plane (Bring It), William Beckett came on stage, and so did Pete (birthday boy!) for a little bit. Needless to say, i freaked when william showed up, and then freaked EVEN MORE when Pete came. :)

After Cobra, my bffl Kellie and I when to go get merch (yay!) The freaking line was soooo long, but luckily, we only missed Paul Wall (what was he doing there anyway?) WE SAW GABE OUTSIDE THE STAGE! AHHH!!!!! I screamed "GABE I FREAKING LOVE YOU" but i don't think he heard....
After getting a yellow FOB shirt, THE ACADEMY IS... came on and holy shit they were AMAZING! I was totally in awe of how freakin good they were!!! Chelsea and I freaked out for every song ('cause we LOOOOOOVE TAI!) After my dear William and Micheal and Mike and Adam and the Butcher left, i decided to trade my FOB shirt (since i already have 2) for a TAI one, so i did! And i am currently wearing it.

After the lovely TAI, it was time for +44, who i must say, brought the single most entertaining person of the night; Mark Hoppus. He was great, making some of my favorite quotes of the night. "Did anyone else notice how the wind blew William's hair back just right so that he looked like a rock-god?" "I know that on people's birthday, your supposed to give people stuff, but i think we should take. Who thinks I should steal something from Pete?" (loud screams of approvial) (at this point, Mark ran off stage and came back with a signature Pete Wentz bass, which he proceeded to throw into the water next to the stage (since the theater literaly sticks out into the water)) and of course, the great quote: "Do you like sweaky men? Do you like bald sweatly men? Well then your in luck!" As a birthday present for Pete, the guys played DAMNIT by BLINK 182, at which point I screamed my head off like a freakin physcopath. At the very end of the set, the rest of the band left Mark who, once our applause died down a little said: "I'm not yet done basking in the glory of your applause!" So all in all, they rocked too.

FINALLY, it was time. For about 15 to 20 minutes between +44 and FOB, the big screens on the side of the stage played music videos and txts from people in the audience. My txt even got on the screen!!! It said; "We love you William! & Happy birthday pete! (we love you too!)- Steph & Chelsea, Kellie & Jenna"
Ok, so the whole Fall Out Boy extravaganza began with a video clip of all sorts of Fall Out Boy stuff. They even had pics of the band that got shot, so that "Fall Out Boy" was spelled out in blood to the sound of gunfire (very James Bond), all while the beginning of "Thriller" (the Jay-Z part) played. Suddenly the band was shot up (literaly) on to the stage (very cool, find it on Youtube, it's the sort of thing you have to see to believe...)
So they started with Thriller, and for about an hour and a half, I screamed my head off and sang along to everything!!!! IF I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS HYSTERIA WITH TAI, I WAS GRAVELY MISTAKEN. Sreaking was going on everywhere, and my friends and I couldn't sit still. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING FEELING, just watching them, the sort of thing you have to experience to fully understand.
Some pretty cool things happen throughout the show (aside from the Pete hysteria...); rbefore they played "This ain't a scene, it's an armsrace", Patrick sang the beginning of "I write sins not tragedies" by Panic! At The Disco, until Pete said "That ain't this band, This ain't this song, and this ain't a scene, it's an armsrace!!!"
As everyone knows, yesterday, June 5th, 2007, was Peter Wentz's 28th birthday, and we were there to help him celebrate. Patrick (my love) got the entire crowd to sing happy birthday to Pete toward the very end of the show. "I told you I wouldn't get you a present, and I didn't. I'm a lousy friend"-Patrick "Your voice is a gift from god"-Pete. Patrick: *laughs*
Pete talked to the crowd the most, and even threw his bass (which the people in the boat just got back up) into the water. It was great because we sat on the side closest where the threw the bass, and Dirty (our host for the evening) jumped in after it. Why did Pete do this, because, he "wanted to fell like a rock star too."
As a super-duper special surprise, TRAVIS McCOY FROM GYM CLASS HEROES SHOWED UP FOR THE BEGINNING OF "The Take Over, The Break's Over", at which point i honestly though i was gonna scream myself to death.
During the final song (SATURDAY!) Pete got smashed in the face with birthday cake and jumped into the water himself. Awesomely cool, since we were close.
The whole show was AWESOME and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The pyrotechnics that ran throughout the show, along with the fireworks and confetti, made for and amazing night that i'll never forget.
p.s.- more fun next fall!!!! (supossedly they're going on tour w/Gym Class Heroes, so YAY!!!!!
