For starters, I'm pretty sure my name's Matt. I'm a sophomore at Gonzaga University. I love playing guitar and bass, hanging out with my crazy friends, "that's what she said" jokes, movies, concerts, listening to music (obviously), snowboarding, making movies, and meeting new people that are genuine and not followers like the rest of the world. I'm also in a band called Ours, Truly. We have a purevolume page you can check out by clicking on the link below. If you want, swing by and check out our stuff. All of our songs are downloadable, so stop in and listen, comment, or insult, whatever floats your boat. Well, that's pretty much it. If you want to get to know me or just chat for a while, leave me a message or a comment about yourself . Thanks for stopping by!

Rap...

I hate it. I mean, it's great that people can get famous by wearing baggy clothes, making up words that they think are cool, and getting up and talking on stage, but seriously - where's the talent? The prerequisite for music should be musical ability, not making up beats on a computer and having it loop back while one rhymes along to it for 3 or so minutes. I'm not saying that rap should be abolished from the face of the Earth, but I seriously think that rappers could improve themselves. In fact, I think there's even hope for it to make great music...that is if the style of rap attempts to incorporate music. Look at Mat Kearney: he's one of my all-time faves. He successfully mixed his alternative/pop (similar to Jack Johnson) with rap, and it sounds great!! He doesn't make up ridiculous words to rhyme things, he doesn't say his name in his songs (which is one of the all-time lamest things that rappers do), and he raps about true life experiences with MUSIC accompanying him. So rappers, drop the beat machine, computer, or whatever it is you use, grab a dictionary, and stop talking about your own name, how cops suck, and don't remind us that you drive an Escalade.

Thanks.

Rude Grrrl

rap sucks!! theres a couple good artists out there- but
they never make it big, because they don't sing about
their cars, girls, and drugs...i totally agree with you
about it.

Chihiri

heh. thanks for that. also, thanks for the nice comment
on the artist page...every bit helps!

Chihiri

Hey thanks for the link tip! Gah...! how
emberassing-you know those times when you ask how to do
something and then feel completely stupid because it
was a total no brainer? Yeah...that was one of those
times.

Chihiri

alright, last comment for the day and then I\'ll shut
up :) this is rather a pathetic question...but how did
you get that purevolume link on your listener profile?
yes, yes, go ahead and laugh, but amidst your luaghing,
let me know! :)

Chihiri

By the way, I just checked out your
sweet-straight-from-idaho band and I\'m really
impressed. (not that being from idaho is some kind of
impediment...:)) I was going to say it may not be a
good idea to have all the songs downloadable...but then
I thought that would be hypocritial....because I
downloaded thema ll myself! heh

Chihiri

May I just take this moment to THANK you for your
recent blog on rappers? simply stated, you are my
