New mom update (She's had cancer since August 2007 if you didn't know)

My mom had surgery. It was SUCCESSFUL! The tumor is out. Her lymph nodes were clean. If you don't know what a "lymph node" is let me put it this way, if there is cancer in the lymph node it is BAD. She'll have radiation. It'll be November 2008 before everything is over. It'll take anywhere from 6 to 12 months for her body to recover and her hair to grow back. I'm just glad it's out of her. I guess the subject line says it all. My mom is done with chemo and will have surgery to remove her tumor in a few weeks. She still went to work everyday during chemo. Can you believe she actually was able to keep up with a preschool class of 16 3-year-olds? Anyway, it's all over with and her hair is starting to grow back. It may take up to 3 months for her to get back to normal cuz that's how long she was on chemo. read more

Sorry kids... been in the hospital

Hey guys, sorry if ya'll have sent me stuff and I haven't responded. I was in the hospital last week after I fell off of a horse and hit my head really hard. I was wearing a helmet but I ended up with something worse than a concussion but not bad enough to knock me unconscious. I'm out now but I can't ride horses for a month until my injury heals completely. You can't even tell that anything happened. No scrapes or bruises and no broken bones.I don't have any great war wounds so I can't exager… read more
Cancer Update

My mom has started chemotherapy. She's been through four treatments already. She'll have a three week breah and then go back for twelve more treatments. Then she'll have the tumor removed by surgery. After that she'll have more chemo and radiation. It'll be November of next year before it's all over with. read more

hey guys. I went to a small town in Mexico for a week. I just got back on the 16th. Our mission team is trying to finish building a church that we started three years ago. I'll try to upload some pictures later. We mixed concrete by hand and moved a pile of 400 really big cinder blocks from the ground floor to the second floor and back to the ground floor. Hey guys. My friend who tried to commit suicide last week is back in school. She still needs a lot of prayer. Her attempt was unexpected because she never had any changes behaviorally and she came back today acting exactly the same way as she did before the accident. Mary at the foot of the cross

Sometimes when I think my life is in hole, I think of how Mary, Jesus' mother, felt at the foot of the cross and watching her son die. Then I think about how Jesus rose on the third day. So if you think your life is in a hole, don't focus on the bad image, focus on the good that is coming around the corner, Hopefully it will get here is less than three days. read more
