About Me

Well, since there's no "about me" section on here like there is on myspace or whatever (at least not that I can find.... I may have missed it), I suppose I'll just use the blog to tell a little about me. ;)

First and foremost, I am a Christian. My faith in and relationship with God is not only a part of my life, it is my life. I try to be a witness to whomever I meet and to bring glory to God in all that I do. If you haven't accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, PLEASE read what is written in red at the end of this blog.

My name's Christine, but my friends call me Chriss, Sting, Stina, or Lemon (my last name). I'm 20 and I live in Dameron, WV. I'm a Senior at Liberty University, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Advertisement and Public Relations. I'm currently working as the Public Relations/Promotions person for Dove-nominated Christian country recording artist Corey Brooks (www.myspace.com/coreybrooksministries). Just because I'm working in a ministry involving "Christian country" music, doesn't mean country is all I listen to. I love almost any type of music.

I love people!! I can get along with pretty much anyone. I'm a good person to talk to -- I may not always have a lot to say, but I'm always ready to listen, and I won't hesitate to tell you something that God lays on my heart. My friends and family are VERY important to me. I'm extremely loyal as a friend, but even more so as a big sister. Oh, and I think inside jokes are the best thing since sliced bread.

I write songs, most of which only God hears, but I'm planning on changing that very soon. I know I need to use the gifts God gave me to further His kingdom. I LOVE music -- I honestly don't think I could live without it.

Do you know for sure that if you died today you would go to heaven???
In one minute I can explain to you how you can know for sure that if you died today you would go to heaven.

All you have to know is 4 things:

1. God says, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
If you're honest, you know that you have lied. That's a sin. I'm a sinner. You're a sinner. All mankind are sinners.
How did you become a sinner?
What is the price of your sin?

2. God says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
This is the story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God told them that they could eat of any tree but the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They disobeyed God and ate from that tree. A sin was committed. That sin passed down to you and me. The price of sin, eternal death in hell, also passed down to you and me.

3. God says, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
God loves you very much. He doesn't want you to go to hell. In fact, He loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus actually lifted the sins from you and placed them upon Himself. When they nailed Jesus to the cross, the blood that came from Him cleansed your sin. When He died on the cross He paid your price for sin: death. They buried Jesus but He arose from the dead. He conquered death and He conquered sin.
He offers you life.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
Eternal life is a present. You can't get baptized into heaven; be good to get into heaven; pay money to get into heaven; in fact, you can't do anything to get into heaven, except to be sorry for your sins and trust Jesus dying for you as your only way into heaven.

4.God says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13).
Here is how you call upon the Lord:
- Do you admit that you are a sinner?
- Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God?
- If you are sorry for your sins and would like for God to save your soul, just ask Him.
Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross to pay for my sin and to offer me the gift of salvation and eternal life with You in heaven. I accept that gift. Please come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and save my soul. Thank you. Amen.

Those words alone will not get you to heaven. Jesus is the only way to heaven. If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth, you will be saved. If you prayed that prayer, and truly meant it, welcome to the family of God. God bless, and I will see you in heaven!
