TV said that the US was one of the stupid nations. That may be true, actually it is true. It makes me think about our education, about how maybe I'm not getting the same opportunities that other students in other countries get. In Germany, they have 13 grades which is equal to like two years of college. The fact that I live in Mississippi is not any better. I made the resolution to work REALLY hard this year because it's my last. I should make it count, right? People at school may already put… read more

My friend, Sky, is going to compete next week in San Antonio, Texas in the Teen Talent 2008 competition. She wrote and awesome poem about her grandfather that won first place in the state. Now she's off to Nationals and I wish her all the luck in the world. And I wish a certain someone from Houston would get in touch with me. (Hint, Hint) read more

Pop is like the creepers and vines. Everyone sees it; Everyone's caught up in it. It's a world where Pink's the new green, Thin's the new fat, Put on stilletos; click, clack, walk like that Walk like this; Blow a kiss, And tip your hat. Pop is a sensation. Sensational lie; A bitter lie That cages truth Behind an eclipse. Hidden behind booze and people getting high. An epedemic; a bandit that burns and brands the flesh, The wound smells of the lowtide of a wasteland… read more

Before I went to camp the second week to be a counselor, God laid on my heart a message to give to my girls on the first night of camp. It was about modesty and waiting for your husband. It went like this: In Luke 15:11-32, it talks about the lost son who wanted his inheritance early. He asked for it and it was givin to him. He left home and became very popular. All of his friends loved him because he gave them wine and luxeries. He spent everything he had and a great famine came. He had to wo… read more

Camp was the most awesome thing that I will go to all year. The worship services were amazing. We didn't mosh or anything :( but we did dance like no one was watching and that was just as good. The services were awesome. Especially the one that talked about running the race. That service was when I was a counselor and I had to pass out running batons as a symbol of continuing the gospel. We threw off our maskes and cast our cloaks and all other kinds of things as symbols of giving our all for… read more

So camp is coming up pretty fast. I have nine more days, and I'll be gone for two weeks. I won't be back on until June the 28. I'll probably be so tired that I won't check my mail until June 29. But it would make me feel EXCELLENT if you sent me comments, messages, etc. I've got a lot on my mind, like the fact that my mom doesn't want me to go to Millsaps, which is like the best college ever, and I have no support whatsoever on what I'm wanting to do with my life. Except for God. So I'm taking… read more

As some of you know, all throuhgout the South there have been like a dozen tornadoes from April to May. I just wanted to say that it was thanks to God that the tornado that was close to my town missed us by like a dozen miles. That happened a while back, but I started thinking about it today. I really am blessed. read more

I'm homesick for home. Ya see, I lived in the Delta most of my childhood, particulary Clarksdale, Home of the Blues. I miss the people, especially my youth pastor. I hate being homesick. Anyways, I got some music to cheer me up. Like this song called Mango by Appastar. And of course Switchfoot and Jon Foreman. I love you Jon! read more

So, at my school cell phones aren't allowed. I know. It's totally Bogus. I go into geometry today and this girl is like, "Grace, do you have a phone on you?" And I'm like ,"No." And then I'm like, what's going on? Why is everybody worrying about their phone? This one girl hid her phone in her shirt to hide it. This is why: So this guy who I call Cawsert (pronounced Cow's hurt) had this phone that's no good. In Coach Sorto's class (pronounced Sore Toe), Cawsert put the phone in a paper ball an… read more
