I've been contemplating the difference between Worship and Rock music and their places in my life. Each ministers to me in different ways, depending on the band, song, etc. While worship music generally draws me closer to God, it can often be too structured or forced. Rock music, on the other hand, plays to my emotions but can often take my focus off of God.

It is interesting how many Christian Rock bands put out worship albums: Kutless, Third Day, Skillet, Jeremy Camp, etc. I think they realize that worshiping God is at the core of our souls, whatever genre we do it through.
