For someone who broke my heart a long time ago...
It kills me to hear this now but I knew it would come some day some how I gave you my heart and told you then that you would be my new best friend you took it and cherished it for some time But now im not sure that its even mine It's crushed and bleeding on the floor and you just walk on through the door I cry and weep and ask you why but you just walk and say "goodbye" how am I supposed to live like this? When you are gone and I did miss you dont care and never did I noticed it but I just hid I hid the truth and lied to myself now my heart is on a shelf I picked it up and put it there but move it again I dont dare if I touch it one last time it will be gone, no longer mine for now it will sit there and hopefully heal untill the next time I think that love is real

Tonight I'll stay awake long enough to stop breathing and I wonder how long it will take before I pass out drunk off night skies. Lying on hills with wet grass below, blue black above- I will carry all the weights tonight. 'Cause I keep remembering the day that you said you might go crazy if you spent one more minute with me. Well do you think about those days? And, I don't know- is one more minute going to kill you now? Stop me before I say too much! So now I've been alone and it's been going but tomorrow might not come if I don't let it so don't forget the mornings that we spent deep inside our heads staring at blank walls 'cause that's what counts. And I don't know but I am trying to let you go but I can't cut too well these strings I have around my neck. I'm trying to let you go.
