I love compilation CD's because they generally have the best music from a certain artist. However, the one thing that a greatest hits album doesn't have is a story. Every main release from an artist tells some type of story. Usually, it will relate to the band's personal lives at the time they wrote the lyrics and recorded the album. I have found that many of my favorite bands are ones that continually reinvent themselves. Each album has a different sound than the one before it. Of course, the vast majority of bands have albums that each have a different feel from the others. I'm talking about a more dramatic change, where the entire style actually changes. God speaks to me in many different ways, but I find that He uses music quite often to send me a message. Usually, it pertains to my life at the moment, but sometimes its about my relationship with Him in general.
