My dear neglected friends:

I know I've been terrible about keeping this up this summer, but I'm not without excuse. I've been crazy busy with life itself, but on top of that, I start college in a month, and I just recently found out my family's moving to San Antonio. Scary? Yeah.

To make things crazier, my computer recently crashed, taking all my music with it. But don't worry, instead of slipping into a deep depression, I'm trying to view it as a fresh start for my musical aspirations. Help me be optimistic. Anyway, my new computer arrived, and just today I got my recording stuff set up, so hopefully I'll be able to kick out a song or two in the next month before I head off to school. Maybe.

So, I hope everyone's doing okay and having the sweetest summer ever. I definitely am.

Hello there. :) I'm back...

The trip was amazing, of course. I got a bunch of surfing injuries, a great tan, and I fell in love with the north shore of Kauai. San Diego is my girlfriend, but Hanalei is my soulmate. I guess that makes the Pacific Ocean my true love. Who needs girls?

So, back to business. I'd like to say I wrote enough songs while I was gone to fill an album... but that would be a lie. I was too distracted to think about music. I do have a new song in the works, though. Sorta. "In the works" is actually just code for "I got an idea!" Sorta.

100 fans and 1500 plays. You all were good while I was gone. :) Oh, yeah, and as you probably know, I can neither take credit nor be held responsible for anything said by the person left in charge of my account in my absence. So don't come after me with a lawsuit if she caused any permanent damage to your psyche.

How's everybody? Still breathing?

SUGAR!!! And now that I've got your attention...

Hey everybody,

I just passed 1000 plays and on my purevolume. :) Thanks soo much to everyone who's listened, and especially everyone who became a fan (66 of you now, awwww... wait, isn't that a bad number...?). I like to think that this sort of thing is the heart and soul of indie music... ordinary kids writing music that people they've never even met might enjoy. Sometimes I imagine going big with this, but to be honest, I don't think it will ever happen. I'm not that ambitious. So, here and now, this is music for music's sake.

By the way, you all know that indie music is basically an industry supported purely by fans. So, if you do actually like my music even the slightest bit, would you be so kind as to tell a friend (or two, or three...) about it? I try to "get myself out there", but one kid can only do so much. So be the first to join the latest trend... support Angel's Mistake. :) 'Cause you just know that pretty soon I'll be getting so much airplay Panic! at the Disco will be jealous.

Oh, and for those who care (that's everybody, right? ...right?), I'm leaving for vacation on Monday, so I won't really be replying to anybody for the next 7-ish weeks, most likely. Or maybe I will, you never know. But meanwhile, my faithful friend will be holding down the fort for me. Or maybe not. You never know.

Did you catch that all? No, I know you didn't read it. I lost your interest in the first paragraph. That's okay. I forgive you. Because I'm nice like that. Really.

Confessions of a perfectionist.

I did yet another remix. :) The Bestest Song had become my worstest song, so I just had to redo it and make it shine a little more once again, 'cause I think it really is my personal favorite. Not that I pick favorites. But if I did, that would be it. Yeah.

I'm tending more and more towards a powerpop-type sound. I still think it's fairly different on the broad spectrum, though.
