The Wall

You build up a wall to keep Me out When all I want to do is knock it down And be close to you So I can hold you in My arms And let you know you’re safe with Me Even though you do not feel safe with him You need to get it through your head that I am not him It is because of him that you found Me I will not turn you away I will not use your words against you You can always talk to Me when you cannot reach her You may feel that she is your only ally in this fight You built a wall against him but with her knowing it She loves him but she can’t figure out why you don’t You wonder how you would live if she were to leave you Take comfort in knowing that she won’t, for now, Take comfort in knowing that I won’t either, ever You want to figure out who you are I will help you I am here now Talk to Me
