You Can't Fix it Alone (3/09)

I've never understood a war, just let it go and there'll be no more..."No more peace," you say, but do you see the irony in the way you behave? Peace and conflict can't mix, this is something it's simply impossible for you to fix no matter how hard you try. Why feed yourselves that lie? You don't understand that you're running in circles trying to make perfect what can't be made so. You're trying to undo at least 6,000 years of damage. It simply can't be done, so listen to this adage: Give it up, you'll never succeed, you just don't possess the power you need. But someone else does, someone you laugh at. Because you're afraid, you disregard him and tell yourself you're enough without his help, you've got this covered. But take a look around friend, babies are hungry and sick, if you can fix that you can never stop them from getting old and dying can you? There are millions without a home; it's cold outside friend, where will they go? You can buy them a house but it's no use, your housing market sucks unless you're endowed with a ton of bucks. No one can afford your healthcare; they're sick and angry and hopeless, and it's you, you've created this. All because you're greedy and too proud to say you're in over your head, a six year old child doesn't have a bed, a pregnant mother was just shot by a hunk of lead, there's blood everywhere and you'll never even see that it's red because you're counting you're hundred dollar bills in stacks of ten. And tell me, just what are you going to do for the environment? Can you possibly control it all? Now you're strong enough to control the forces of nature? You're powerful enough to make it spring and not fall? It would be so much easier, so much more helpful if you weren't trying to do something you were never created to do, you'd be so much happier I promise you. You can't fix this alone.
