Conducting From the Grave is a reletively new band with alot of potential to be an eagle of death metal, Cftg has two of the fastest and most creative guitarists i have ever heard and one of the most unique sounds on my 30gb zune. the guitarists boast melodic but heavy riffs, ispirational buildups, and face melting solos. the vocalist has lows that could extinguish a fire and the drummer never uses the same beat twice, the entire band is of metal gods and i cant wait until they release another album.
Conducting From the Grave - When Legends Become Dust
Consistent with The New Reign, this album is entirely played in 3/4 or 4/5 tempo. not dissapointing or impressive, however on the new album they have very few techno breakdowns or regular breakdowns for that matter. my opinion on this album is that it is the same as the last album, but in a good way.
I dont know what happened to All That Remains. Overcome is one of the most dissapointing albums i have ever heard, All That Remains when from kings of metal to the 40 year old kings of numetal. the new album is a mix between distrurbed, system of a down, and arch enemy. if youre a fan of flyleaf or avenged sevenfold, you might enjoy this album. Overcome has crazy guitar solos and sick riffs but otherwise the album is a disgrace to heavy metal.
Stick to Your Guns has always been a favorite of mine and although many people prefer For what its Worth to the new album because they "sold out", i strongly disagree. Stick to your Guns didnt sell out, they just changed their sound. the new album shows lyrics that are metal as fuck, moving chants, emotional outros, solid breakdowns, and the first ever guitar solo in styg history. Stick to Your Guns cant sell out, they are the only band that isnt afraid to say "fuck rascists, fuck television brainwashing, and fuck you for telling me who we are".
Comes from the Heart is worth the money.
Constellations is an impressive album, the guitarists make the album great. although the album is not much different than the most recent one; Messangers it was still worth buying and sitting through. one song stood out the most out of all of them though: Meddler. the song Meddler is comprable to the previous release Composure in that the guitarists, bassist, vocalist, and drummer actually work together instead of playing to completely different beat measures. with Meddler aside, Constellations is just a repeat of the last album, Messangers - which was entirely played in 3/4 tempo.
if you didnt like Messangers, i wouldnt suggest buying Constellations
