Liala lee, age 18. music is my being. playing it, writing it, listening to it, dancing to it, just absorbing it makes life worthwhile. i love that so much meaning and emotion can come out of a single song. even a song that has no words can convey love, hate, beauty, fascination, life, death, or anything in a way better than words could ever express. music can bring a person to the knees with tears, rampage with rage, or jump for joy. Music can create a whole different world never before seen, as real and clear as this very earth, right inside someone's head. Music can make me forget about everything in the world around me, and i can just find absolute peace. For just a moment, i am not here. inside the music, flowing with the pulse, i am completely free. I channel every emotion through music, and i do believe that it has saved my life and shaped me to be the person that i am. others may think im obsessed, outspoken, and unrealistic, but i really can't think of anything more beautiful, and i could never need anything more. soo some other things about me. i play bass clarinet and clarinet in the symphonic band at my school. i'm the bass player in a band called Insonia, which means insomnia in our lead guitarist's native language, Portuguese. I also play guitar, sing, and write songs for my band, and for my own acoustic projects. I'm getting certified to be a nursing assistant, and i'm planning to receive my associates in the arts degree starting this fall, then i don't know what i want to do. something with music, kids, or psychology. I work at Victoria's Secret and I love it. I am obsessed with health and fitness. I love dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, and yoga and meditation. I realllllllly like to go out swing dancing too, jazz is wonderful, and it's just really a blast. I eat as healthy as i can, i don't eat processed foods, or anything i would call "fake" with more preservatives listed in the ingredients than actual natural substances. i will never ever touch a mcdonalds burger, but i still have the one of the worst habits of all. i can't seem to quit smoking cigarettes. i am also a "compulsive shopper" but i stay away from the stores in the malls, and take it to the thrift stores. i tend to be off in my own mind most of the time. my lack of will power is definitely my biggest flaw, but i'll just have to learn to put forth a lot of effort. obviously my biggest interest is music. i also really like writing and reading. i always have a novel crammed into my purse just in case i get a spare minute to read. I really get lost in books and forget where i am until someone gets my attention. then it feels like i've just woken up from a dream. i'd really like to write my own book someday. well, this is just an overview of me if you will. like anybody will read this much rambling anyways.. good way to waste 20 minutes of my time? maybe. :)
