i'm aud. or odd, if you like. but more importantly, i'm a pro-life Christian. haha i'm a pro-liver!
anyways. i love love love Christian metal :) and some of the rock stuff, too. and i'm a sucker for the beatles :) and johnny cash, creed, random local bands and nirvana. a little bizzare, i suppose, but hey. whatever is fun to play on my bass.
my joys include(d): hot chocolate :) softball/baseball. my best friend's son, Brycen (it's wayyyy uber cool to watch him grow up!). wearing bandanas. protesting abortion. writing. playing bass. not playing oboe :) haha! of course, food.
and my favorite verses are Phil 1:21 and the whole chapter of Psalm 3. go read them. :)

Tears of the Saints.

So there's this really awesome song by the band Leeland, entitled "Tears of the Saints", which is about Christians crying out for the lost and broken souls of the world. I love that song, and I love the message, but unfortunately I can't help but wonder how true we're letting that song be.

The song speaks of Christians begging sinners to come home to the love of Jesus Christ. But do we really ever do that?
See, when we act like the rest of the world and talk like the world, and do everything pretty much just like the world ("going with the flow", if you will), we're not only taking God's love and grace for granted, but we're keeping our friends from ever having hope or peace in this life.
See, if they don't see Jesus in us, they don't see a point. And if they don't see a point, they won't come to Christ. And if they don't come to Christ, there is no purpose in their life (whether they realize it or not), and they will spend an eternity seperated from the love, peace and joy that is only found in the Lord.
Who cares if we get made fun of? Isn't that worth one more broken soul finding love? or are we that selfish. Something to think about for those of  us who read.

Nah, I'm not doing much jazz actually. Really the only
reason I'm playing sax is because of lessons I have to
get done, and marching band lol. I'm not a music ed
major any more, and it's not where my heart is any
more.

Kaylen

for real! we got to march during halftime..you can
check out my pics on facebook if you like. it was
pretty epic!

Kaylen

LOL Yeah, I definitely know where you're coming from
there. It was totally weird when I moved and didn't
know anybody, but it didn't take very long to get in at
all. But hey! At least you know you got a few friends
already in Arlington ;) Band's good!!! We been really
busy getting our show ready for a few gigs coming up.
AND we played at the COWBOYS STADIUM!! Oh yeahhh,
that's right lol

Kaylen

Kaylen
