Myth: You need to be one of the founders to make money. Truth: Not with a sustainable business. This myth comes from pyramid scams where the people who start them rake in the cash of the people who come in later. This business model is based on supplying consumable goods and services. This means that there will always be repeat customers and new customers. People will always be needed to replace people that retire, and to expand the business.


Myth: Only people at the top will make any money. Truth: There is money to be made at all levels. The amount of money will depend on how much time and effort is put into the business. Many people are satisfied with a little part time money - so they put in a part time effort. Some people simply want to replace a full time salary so they work to get to that level, then scale back and spend time enjoying their freedom. Only a few have the desire to put in the amount of work to become one of the top earners.


Myth: You will need to pester your family and friends. Truth: Not with an internet opportunity! There are many ways to find good prospects when you harness the power of the internet. Nowadays it is possible to get started as a stranger in a new country. However, when the money come rolling in many friends and members of family will be begging to know the secret. This method was often advocated as a way to get started with an offline MLM company, it is no longer relevant for online MLM opportunities of today.


Online MLM marketing is a great opportunity to make decent money from home in pajamas. But this shouldn't be confused with needing no time and no effort.
