[Meeting Evermore and City Adventure’s]

Walked out of Town Hall Station greeted by a gust full of powerful wind,quickly rugged up in our coats and headed for Kent Street.After a few minutes of map reading and walking eventually found out where Fraser Suites was situated.Stomach’s growling we headed for Darling Harbour,avoiding speeding taxi’s we made it to the harbour,after investing in some good old fashion coffee,headed back to Fraser Suites to meet Dave from Posse.After the greeting headed up the swanky lift in this swanky hotel,to like the 40th floor up.Walked off the lift,felt gravity take hold and ears popped.Got showed to the suite,walked in,first thing I noticed was Peter Hume sitting on the soda,introduced ourselves to him,then got aquatinted with the other people in the room.After,short chats with Peter & a quick lunch snack,waiting for further details,was supposed to actually be interviewed by Rolling Stone’s & Kzone but due to some minor complications all that didn’t work out..so just practically chilled in the suite,watching the View & some snippets of Max.Then Peter came in to do an interview with Kzone Mag,it was quite interesting to hear the questions they asked him,and what he answered with.which included fake lego & collapsing keyboards etc.After all that we got to meet the rest of the band,Dann & Jon,swanky fellows.Got a few shots with them which was superb,they are all really nice! Then I guess it was time to leave,we got into the lift & Dann joined us in the very delayed lift trip down to earth.He needed to get to Town Hall,so we all walked together in the gusty wind,we had a great chat about “whichenbury” lol & he was singing some good old Disney songs which was by far the most amusing thing ever,lets just say alot of bypasses looked at us,but it was OK!.Dann is a really nice fellow,actually scrap that,the entire band are really nice fellows.Walked Dann to Town Hall said our goodbyes [someone owes us tickets] then choofed off back to Darling Harbour for some more coffee followed by a slice of cake with some British Lollies on the side.Aftera very “productive” and fab day we decided to head back home,as the sun went down as we headed back on the train,I looked out the window,watching the trees blur by & practically life its self,I was pretty happy about how the day turned out,even though I didn’t get to do the interviews etc,all in it was great day.

new empire-kingsway gig 18th april

18th of april-kingsway gig

after a very stressful 24 hours of planning a lift to kingsway,well all hope & everything had failed my father completely said “i will take you to the gig” i was like you are an absolute hero.so it was a long long car ride,took about 1 hou & a half to actually hit “the boulevard”,missed the turn onto “endeavour” but totally chucked a u-turn & found our way to the venue.Rocked up at like something to 8 when the gig started at 6:39..hey at least i made it for a few songs of Playjerise,okay so totally walked in the open doors,bought a ticked from the lovely suzanna,met riana for the first time,epic buddy much.so then walked in & Playjerise was full setting the mood,lights down low kinda thing,after walking on a few people’s fingers took a cosy stop on the floor,greeted ‘old gregg” aka penelope,then made my self comfortable & enjoyed a few oldies from Playjerise,the audio was genius in that place,the acoustics sounded quite remarkable,but then again Jake  & “Georgio” are simply remarkable.After much anticipation they played tracks from their new album titled “better life”,like i said remarkable, “oceans” & “better life” got the crowd eager to buy their whole cd,the boys have done an excellent job on their newie.After they where done,had a bit of intermission if you would call it that,caught up with luke from sam’s permission,met some newsies aka new people.The Modern joy was up, ok i’ve never seen these kids live but woah! was i blown away,they are like Moravia mixed with Coldplay meets maybe FF5,insane right!.they where stunningly good,lead singer was great with his funky “keytar” & his insane dance moves,while they were performing one lil funky disco song,everyone was showing off their own dance moves when “BAM” New Empire boys totally run on stage & pull these insane dance moves! it was flippen amusing.After that we had another short intermission,had a pit stop in the loo but you don’t need to know that! Walked about in and realised New Empire was on,so didn’t run to the stage...we briskly walked put it that way,Maybe it was the insane lighting,or the great audio or maybe the awesome atmosphere of the kingsway crowd but i gotta be honest here & say that this was by far the most amazing New Empire live performance I have ever seen,like it sounded like someone had just whacked on their cd over the speakers,it was so epic! insane drumming,insane vocals,insane guitar,insane everything...even insane sweat..yeh sweat! New Empire really brought the bank or should i say really brought the milk home! ha,they were just unbelievable,those Malaysian’s better be prepared for the next best thing to bread rolls! they are going be New Empire’fied? they are going to be blown away by those boys.New Empire also played two new song,which was a super surprise,i think one was called “summer skies”? well anyway loved it,again Jez is a great great songwriter,both those songs where just utterly cool,new ep maybe?lol New Empire was great but no matter how many times i say that,i can’t really express the epicness of that gig.After al the brilliant bands had done their “shiz” it was time to behave like 12 year old girls & break out into NE obsession,just kidding what i mean is it was time for kodak moments to arise!!.kalys was all set with her lil digi camera,kinda bummed i didn’t bring  mine but its gotta rest for impact 09! haha.anways found kale,after determining the lights were hot? bright? we got some sweet shots with the insanely talented drummer.[still to produce “respect the drummer” t-shirts].then peeled our eyes for pete,had a good old chat,then went to talk to the guitarist from Modern Joy,the bumped into Jake from Playjerise,gotta love those boys,they have brilliant talent,after a great chat with Jake,we hopped & skipped out way over to sam,who by the way had sparkly gold shoes on,kalys said they looked kinda 80s,after a conversation about hair lengths & other things,got some snazzy shots with sam,we then went to go see the merch,totally ran into Jez,involved a few hi’5s & good conversation,got snaps with him,then we just chilled out in a group circle being amused by pete,talking about Malaysia and exciting stuff,like the new band bus.lol Then me & kalys was keen for a good old fashion group shot with NE,trusty pete got the boys together for two very snazzy photographs,group photos topped off the night.after a few farewells & tears of joy..kidding kidding,the night was done,said good-bye to the boys,awesome street teamers & headed home in luke’s car listening to Playjerise & Modern Joy.Now i can say i have been to padstow/bankstown whatever! it was one epic epic night.gig & if you weren’t there well then..ouch!.

just a note to the New Empire boys,wish you all the best at Malaysia,hope you have a heck of a time,experience everything! video blog everything!,take many many snaps,your definitely taking the world by storm.Most importantly keep safe & melt their faces lol,my prays are with you & God is just doing amazing things in your lives! thanks for the epic gig! that's all i have to say. peace

random NE fans & insanely long conversations

so im a bit delayed here but hey! who cares thought i would write a few good words about new empire, saw them at dural a week ago,i think it was a week ago! we anyway i went to hillsong wildlife last night,wearing my NE shirt & this random boy came up to me & was like "WOOHH NEW EMPIRE I WAS THERE LAST SAT!!" i was like "WOAH WHU ARE YOU! I MEAN YES NEW EMPIRE.COME TO KINGSWAY" hahah it was soo random,but that kid was a gem,made my night super good! wildlife was epic,the students spoke & i was just sooo amazed by the faith the younger generation has!!! it was just insane. i love seeing the younger generation just stirred up for God,makes me excited. so ive been talking to kayls,a new empire fan & my new insane buddy! my myspace is just decked out in our essay comments to each other haha. so we are planning how to get alot of people to impact haha so far we have : getting people in a cattle truck and make them make animal sounds,picking up kids along the way & other random stuff. for kingsway we are apparently dressing up as either hula girls or gladitors or maybe a bit of both! I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUELY HAPPENING HAHA!! but if you are going to kingsway on the 18th of apirl,tickets are 15 ADVERTISTING ADVERTISING keep an eye out for gladitors dancing around like hooligans hahaha. kidding. or am i? haha thats all for now bye

late nights to airport & out of nothing

heya, its been a while since iv'e written on this blog thing. totally sorry. well this weekend has been a darn god blast. last night i headed to dural to see the doco of OUT OF NOTHING www.valleyofhope.com it was a real eye opener,but its amazing to see kids on poverty with such hope & happiness. just amazing i just pray one day i can go there & help them. new empire played,it was really good to see those kids again, its been to to long!, i got some sweet photographs to. they are up on flickr carissegailphotography look for them tonight is the hillsong album recording so excited! peace

sheckler dreams?

last night i had a horrible dream that ryan sheckler died. in my dream he drowned in the sea,from what i can remember :S when i woke up i had to ask my sister if he was alive because ive been so shut out of the skateing world which im usually tuned into i blame my news-agency for not having more skate mags! but that dream was insane maybe it was because i watched heath ledger THS last night ? hmmm that made me wanna watch all of his movies. sweet heath. the dark night is unbelievable i had nightmares of the joker. which is werid haha. i was playing guitar last night & my flippen fingers are like so sore! hha but i was jammin to oath so i had a blast haha! soundwave wow! so flippen close to my house yet i couldnt go sigh hopefully next year the line up is bigger than this year all i wanna see it OATH OATH OATH! haha thats all i gota say xx
