I'm Joey. I'm a dork/idiot, so bear with me. I'm 18. Single. My favorite bands of all time are Brand New, Northstar (RIP), and Taking Back Sunday (when John was in the band). I listen to all kinds of stuff ranging from hip hop to classical to hardcore to alternative to classic rock to jazz. Yeah, I try to bridge the gaps.
The only music I never really got into was the Insane Records shit, you know: "Hatchet Man" and ICP and Dark Lotus. I just thought that they were really really awful rappers and a disgrace to the genre. I think they should just leave rap to Talib Kweli and MF Doom and Ice Cube.
Sorry about that rant... I always have to do that--
Anyway, I adore Johann Strauss. I think the man has written some of the best musical compositions. I dig Ludwig van, you would be suprised how similar the feeling is to hardcore when you listen to some of his choral pieces. Jaco Pastorius and Miles Davis are my favs too. I dig Underoath, the Fall of Troy, and System of a Down when I'm pissed. I usually listen to Cassino and Incubus when I'm feeling good.
Led Zeplin, Cream, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and (of course) Incubus are perfect to listen to while blaizin' up occasionally behind the house on the back trail with your two best friends(TRAILBLAIZIN'!!!). Good times.
I like most of those mainstream bands like The Academy Is..., The Fray, and The Killers, but some of those bands I can't understand how they get big when they aren't that good in the first place. For example, I don't care much for, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and A New Found Glory because either they lack a little bit of talent be it within the way the songs are shoddy or lyrics are poor or they like sing in a whiney kind of way. Eh, I'm not dissin' on the scene or anything but just not really into that, I guess.
And, yeah, I like Fall Out Boy. You can kiss my ass; they rock. If you don't like them, it's probably because you're a douchebag and hate them only because they got popular. Get over it. That's what happens when bands are good. Although, I have to say that Pete Wentz should die for the sake of civilization. Haha. The band could probably do without him. They could have Patrick play bass with his feet. Their acoustic stuff, I thought, was their best, that being all or mostly Patrick.



So anyway... I have a band too!! Yeah, that's pretty much the reason why you're reading this. It's called The Blackout Theory. I love the band and I love my friends in it. Brian is the musical genius behind it, I supply the lyrics, and Brendan, well, he supplies the grizzly adams (lumberjack material my friend). We have one song that I am particularly proud of called Clock-Stopped. It's insanely catchy :) Acoustic (for now or maybe forever). Comments, looks, anything at all is very appreciated :D
