ewhy do people love to call themselves a genre? example, calling themselves EMO or PUNK,or even SCREAMO!! wtf. yer a human being! EMO,PUNK,GOTH,or SCREAMO are musical genres and u dont have to label yerself as one. ive seen many kids of today being so "EMO" because they are "broken heart" or just depressed. fxck. there’s noone in this world as EMO because noone is a genre! got it? EMO stands for EMOTIONAL HARDCORE,a GENRE!! and not foe EMOTIONAL,a feeling. got it?! dont be EMO just because its IN right now. almost 95% of EMO nowadays are just POSERS–a person who habitually pretends to be something he is not. also,EMO is not about wearing skinny wi\hich make boys’ balls appear or the eyeliner u wear or the most,yer one-sided hair. most emo’s have onesided hair not to cover their eyes from crying but its just a trademark before. there’s no definite explanation of having a onesided hair. i also dont get it why people loves to be a SCENESTER-sunod a uso,and a FASHIONCORE-mga fasyonistang sumisira s mga genre. and to be honest? there’s no such thing as EMO KIDS. kung merun man,its define as those people who dont know the word EMO and tries to be one. kung ako ang tatanungin, my mga totong EMO pa ba nagun? yes. meru pa. pero almost all of the "EMO" you see on mall are plain fashioncores or much known as MALL EMO. and pls? dont be so amazed by what you see on MTV, or MYX about EMO because they’re explaining it the wrong way. fxck. it doesnt mean na if yer listening to MCR,FOB or RJA,it makes you EMO. pakyu. ^^ first,MCR is not an EMO band,alternative yan. and so does FOB and RJA,they’re postemo. hnidi ibig sabihin na my sounds kng ganyan,eh EMO kn. lmfao. ask kids who think they’re emo if they even know bands like,rites of spring,indian summer,moss icon or even embrace and for sure,you’ve got the answer,NO. emo’s of today doesnt know what the word EMO really means. there comes a time that EMO wannabes,run around and shouts,"hey? im EMO!" for god sake. if yer emo,it will show. no need to announce it to the world. here’s a brief EMO history of what i know: yes,its a shortened word for EMOTIONAL HARDCORE. originally, real emo kids love and were faithful to the early DC hardcore punk bands like minor threat. today,if yer listening to MCR,yer an EMO. hahaha. emo is also not about slashing yer wrist! Real EMO bands dont appear in MTV nor be heard in a radio station. If ever you see some band from MTV and actually labelled that band EMO,,Dont hesitate to show ur middle finger as a sign of rejection from what you had seen and heard.All bands that u had thought EMO does not really play EMO.If u think for one second that Alesana is EMO bacause of its EMO because of its emotional lyrics..well all bands have that emotional lyrics..but the word to use to describe its lyrics is CATHARTIC–viewing art or listening to music may be cathartic experiences. EMO does not have a fvclin fashion statement.But nowadays kpag cnabing EMO d mawawala ang mga bagay such as tight jeans,eyeliners,geek glasses,chucks at sama mu na rin ung haircut. What you see in malls,schools and in ur community that people dressin up like that and actually labelling themselves as EMO was just brought out by corporate marketing. For Example : Being an EMO the Chucks Taylor is a must.Real EMO kids wear that shoes.What happens next?Obviously all kids will rush in to buy their Chucks.A good way of selling out huh? Ok pra sa mga may balak mag react sa sinabi ko.. Ok if thats what u want to wear..HELL ur free to do that.If wearing such thing comforts you well go.But please do this : never assosiate the term EMO to the things ur wearing because they have no connection to EMO whatsoever. So I hope you get what Im sayin. and we have STEREOTYPES: -something agreeing w/a pattern. examples: Stereotype1:Pre lam mo ba ung PESOS? Stereotype2:Uu naman pre..Pro EMO tao jan eh. Stereotype1:Uu nga eh..mka pag register nga Stereotype2:Geh ako rin sasali na q dyan! ~~~~~~~~ Stereotype1:Pre anu tugtugan mo ngaun? Stereotype2:Ah! EMO ngaun pinakikinggan q. Stereotype1:Shet men ang lamya naman,bat yan trip mo ngaun? Stereotype2:Wala eh broken hearted xe eh. Stereotype1:Tsk,Pre wak ka na dyan,bagsakan ng mga posers yang emo! ~~~~~~~~ Stereotype1:Pre magbgay ka naman ng EMO bands ung astig ah. Stereotype2:Sa OPM Chicosci saka Typecast.Sa Foreign nman Saosin saka Alesana. Stereotype1:Panu mu nasabi na EMo nga 2? Stereotype2:Cgurado nakikinig din yan ng MCR,Alesana etc. ~~~~~~~~ yan. ^^ got it? whew. when my friend naman try to search emo or screamo, and when we try searching OPM bands that are EMO or SCREAMO with the influence of rites of spring or moss icon,much to our dismay. hays. and also, dont tell me that ang dami ko alam para magpost ako ng blog na to. many kids love to label themselves emo but they dont even know what emo is? also,EMO and SCENE are much different.
