hi.
we are four boys from the suburbs who write music in a severely cramped room in a very nice house. we recently moved there from the garage of said very nice house.
our lightinaugustrock.com site is dead for now, or perhaps forever, but this will remain.
i want to thank everyone for coming out to our last show. it meant so much to all of us. i want to thank everyone who's ever come out to see us, bought us a meal, helped with our music, come to see us jam and goof out in robbie's garage, played basketball with us after practice, told people to come to our shows, showed people our website, passed out flyers or demos, or just even been there to listen to us. i want to thank you for even reading this right now.
so i'm pretty bummed out right now. we just played our last show, and i'm leaving pretty much everything i know and the whole going away thing is bumming me out. i'm starting to realize i just played my last show with four boys i love dearly in front of the people i love most and it will probably never happen again. i will miss sam getting angry, robbie quoting anchorman, and andrew breaking the neck off my guitar during the beginning of the first song of our last show. maybe not the last one. but i know i am so grateful to have been a part of this. a year and a half ago me and robbie started this and its been so much fun. messing around in the garage and covering songs and just getting to know these people. and meeting new people and having people support us. its been so much fun and i am so thankful for the oppurtunity to be able to do this. i want to thank robert heath, samuel tarng, and andrew robb for being my bandmates and my brothers. i will miss you three like none other.
as for the future. we just finished our 3 song demo with matt welch (highly recommended, contact me for his info). i will be sending it to everyone i can, in hopes of whatever will happen. i hope people listen to it just for the sake of something to listen to. robbie and sam are going to the university of texas at austin and i will be attending boston college in the fall. andrew will be at plano senior for one more year. i know i want to pursue some type of musical interests and i hope the other guys do too. and i hope you support us if we try other things.
i want to thank everyone one more time, so thank you.
