These tracks are all improvisations that began as a whimsical fluke to combat the Chicago winter, but for some god-forsaken reason the experiment has captured my interest, and I've kept at it. I call these the "HACK" recordings for various reasons. The improvisations aspire to achieve a sort of 'randomization of notes', a silly idea which somehow I've become fascinated with and can't quite let go of. They typically involve a guitar technique I've named 'scrambling'. It's pure nonsense, and I don't expect anyone else to take to it, but I've enjoyed it, and the blog has helped me to think out the process aloud.
I also enjoy ending sentences with prepositions to appear less pretentious.
