It's a simple tale, really. An age old tale. It's a yarn about five guys from deep in the heart of 'Sweet Home Alabama' who shared the same dream. That dream, to amass the most sizable collection of Liberace memorabilia in the world. When that fell through, they opted for music. Thus, Lessmyself was born. Drawing from their diverse musical backgrounds, Josh "Coop" Cooper (bass, harmonica), Mike "Tiger" Edmonds (lead vocals), Reid "Canopy" McNellage (guitars), Robert "The Doctor" Murray (drums), and David "Godfather" Trippe (guitars, bgv) dabbled in everything from polka to ska to a neo-modernistic psycho-billy crunk. Finally, they settled on more of a classic Southern Rock sound. In the spirit of the great poets of old, Lessmyself set out to write songs with lyrics that actually meant something. Having lived through travesties of lyrical construction like "Achy Breaky Heart" and "MMM Bop", they made a point of penning lyrics that were not only understandable but thought provoking as well. After stirring in a healthy dose of Christian Worldview, they found themselves with a new school of musical thought. They proudly dubbed it "A thinking man's Southern Rock with flashes of the ETERNAL"
