Five years ago four friends from Old Bridge, New Jersey started a band without any direction other than a desire to play music inspired by the local hardcore scene. Over the last half decade this band went through several name and member changes to finally become, Left To Die. During this time the evolution and changes on the hardcore scene lead to L2D's progression as musicians and a band. Recently, these past 2 years L2D became more focused and used their talents and knowledge to write songs that are interesting and heavy, while invoking crowd participation through gang vocals, two stepping, and breakdowns. L2D's style is not easy to define, because even though it is common for bands to create albums of blended genres, L2D takes it one step further by making every song diverse through its own unique mix of influences. One would be hard pressed to find an instance where the aspects of hardcore including metal, death, tech, metalcore, emo, etc can not be felt in an interesting combination in one of L2D's songs. L2D could stand alone as an instrumental band, but instead they add personal lyrics, which bring a heartfelt connection to the music they play.
If this Bio doesn't convince you, than let L2D's music speak for itself. On their latest EP, Forever Ends there is something for everyone into hardcore. This EP ranges from hardcore / metal songs like "Ralph Malph" to the emo song "Amelia". In between these contrasts L2D's style is intense and heavy with brutal mosh parts, that aren't over done. Just when you thought the pit was safe, New Jersey's Left To Die is about to take their music to the stage and make their own mark on the scene they have drawn so much from.
