Layne is just a West Virginia girl who shamelessly tries to write songs in the style of her hero Ani Difranco. When she grows up she wants to make the world a less awful place.
Her songs have sometimes been described as "all sounding the same," but also sometimes as "pretty good." Unfortunately, most often they have been described diminuitively as "cute."
Her albumn title, Some Songs That Rachel Likes, is a reference to her most enthusiastic and devoted fan. :)
