My name is Lauren Watkins and I'm an up-and-coming musician/producer who will be starting at Berklee College of Music in September of 2011. I began playing guitar at the age of thirteen and released my first independent album, My Greatest Inspiration, just before my eighteenth birthday.
I started writing and recording my album back in 2009. Everything was recorded, mixed, and mastered in my bedroom on my macbook. The drums, bass, piano and synths were done by me via a USB drumpad and MIDI keyboard through Garageband. All backing vocals were done by Victoria Brinkley, with Reagan Suders featured on the song "Beg for Me". The violin on the song "Everything" was done by Tresa Scruggs.
Since releasing my album and graduating from high school, I've become more drawn to instrumental songs in the fashion of guitarists Neil Zaza, Steve Vai, Andy McKee, and so on. Hopefully you'll like what you hear...
