Last Minute Letter is a brilliant quartet from Albany, New York. The band is full of young talent bursting out at the seams. Over half are still in high school and only 2 are 18 years of age. The band formed in August of 2006 and in November of that same year self-released a 3 track demo titled Seven Weeks. Over the next 2 years the band under went many member changes but in no way did it effect their ability to make music and attract fans. During this time the band self released 2 different EPs. The first was What It Means To Be Alive in March 2007. The EP was a 6 track collection of music that the band was experimenting with- this was a more relaxed EP. The middle release was titled Bed Sheets and Back Seats. This came out in July of 2007 and was a 5 track EP when the band was playing mostly fast and up beat songs. In August of 2008 the band was also offered some dates on The Vans Warped Tour. Excited and anxious to get their music heard the band jumped at the opportunity. In addition to gaining well deserved bragging rights over the self released EPs Last Minute Letter has shared the stage with many bands including Hit The Lights, Bayside, Set Your Goals, Metro Station, From First To Last and We The Kings. This list will surely grow over the next few years. In December 2008, LML finished recording their most recent EP; Don't Speak So Soon, which will be released on-line in April 2009 and in stores the following May. This EP contains catchy lyrics, contagious melodies and every song leaves you wanting more. No songs are exactly the same yet they all fit together to form something phenomenal that the band has every right to be proud of. Shortly after this recording was finished the band decided to go on a hiatus that they all thought would be permanent. However, Puckett (of Little Heart Records) thought differently and saw a great future ahead. He approached the band about a record deal with Little Heart Records and in February 2009 the band ended their indefinite hiatus and signed with the label. The bands current line-up, Jordan Lilly (vocals/guitar), Troy Harmon (guitar), Tyler Szalkowski (bass/vocals), and Mike Regina (drums) was only recently finalized in January just before their decision to end their hiatus. Last Minute Letter is planning on a full length for late 2009/early 2010. The label and the band are both excited for what the future will bring. When asked about LML's future album Lilly says, "We're going to go for something that doesn't stray from the sound that Last Minute Letter always has been, but we want to explore what we can do with the Troy's skills on guitar and my voice. It'll be something very catchy and very thought out. I can't wait to start writing!"
