Lack of Sanity is a rock band from the city of Medina in the state of Ohio. The band got together after the idea to form a band in the late summer of 05. The name Lack of Sanity came from Kate Rainey, a good friend of the band from New York. Once practices began, the lineup consisted of Drew on drums, Ben on guitar, Bryan on guitar, and Chase on bass. The band began to play covers and write songs of their own, and eventually got the ball rolling for the band.

In February of 06, Von Karr was added to the bands lineup to play as a temp bass for the MHS Rock Off. The band ended up taking third place in the competition, and put Lack of Sanitys first public showing in the past. After the Rock Off, Von eventually became part of the band, after showing his energetic and entertaining performances and the life he brought to the band.

Soon after, Lack of Sanity and Chase on bass began to drift apart, and he eventually split from the band. Even so, he remains a life long friend to everyone in the band, as it was and always will be.

With the lineup of Ben, Drew, Von, and Bryan, Lack of Sanity began playing a few shows with a set list of original songs they wrote. These included two shows at The Rock Theater in Medina, one at The Orange St. in Akron, and a couple of parties.

As time passed by, conflicts on the musical side of the band began to arise, which eventually caused the leave of the bands bassist, Von Karr. No personal issues were involved, as Von still remains a friend to the band. The times were calling for a change, and Von leaving is what it eventually became.

After Vons departure, the band started fresh again, and began writing songs with a new musical edge that they had never written with previously.

In January 07, Lack of Sanity headed to Akron where they recorded two new demos with Grey Haven Music. Going to the studio was a new experience for the band, seeing as the previous demos were done in Bens basement. They hope to return sometime in the future to record a longer project with Grey Haven.

As for now, Lack of Sanity continues to play as band, with a new sense of creativity they have never felt before. They look to play more shows in the very near future, and hope to move forward with the entire aspect of the band. Only time will tell what the future has to hold for Lack of Sanity.
